  1. Please join our Discord server and read the #joining_wg channel to see the final step in the process. Ivory Blade What is your current RS name? Ivory Blade List any previous RS names: What is your total level and combat level? My total level is 1787, and my combat is 96. Tell us about your RuneScape account and history. I started playing back in 2007 and picked a name that sounded cool. I have never changed this name although I check occasionally to see if Blade or Ivory are untaken. My account is mainly used for skilling, although I have added corp too the list of things I do recently. I have the typical stats of a noob skiller: above 99 woodcutting and cooking, high fishing and mining, most buyable skills are very low (herblore, prayer, construction) and slayer is my lowest skill. I spent 13 hours on fletching and made my first 2m using it when I first became a member. I used the for profit method only, andI bought bonds in the process of obtaining that 99. The 2m was left over at the end from my efforts. After getting 99 fletching, I moved on to cooking like a typical noob, as the price of grapes had dropped substantially and I could get the skill for a mere 1.7m. I still have the wines from that effort and I don't see them ever running out. After getting cooking, I went to Zeah and got enough woodcutting for magic logs. Then, I proceeded to grind to 99 on those. I estimated that this took 300 hours in my previous post, based on the number of magic logs in my bank. I would tell you exact amount if I used a client that recorded it, but I have only ever used the vanilla client. Recently I have been grinding fishing and rune crafting, as fishing is 200k an hour instead 100k from magic logs, while runecrafting is a whopping 500k an hour (it was 700k an hour when I first started). Tell us about your clan history. I was in this clan for a few weeks but I got removed in a sweep due to inactivity. I was notified on discord about this twice, but didn't notice as I rarely use discord (apart from now, then last time I checked discord was months ago). Tell us about your yourself. I only play twice a week on weekend. I work in a laboratory on experimental physics, so our line of work hasn't closed due to covid-19 (laboratory work is very clean). How did you hear about us? Your website What makes you want to join us? I like groups of people with a history, and this clan has that. I am also a fan of the music which plays when you open the welcome page. It was the memory of this music that made me look the wildness guardians back up after seeing them for the first time years ago. Do you agree to the rules and requirements of WG and understand that this is an honour clan? Yes Come clean about anything that may deter us from accepting you: I was removed from the clan due to inactivity. You can see my previous application here (https://www.wildernessguardians.com/forums/topic/7640-accepted-ivory-blade/?tab=comments#comment-73613) which has additional details. I also feel as though I didn't contribute enough in the two corp trips I have attended. I do not have base 80 melee stats or a BGS, so I used range with ruby bolts. I have been levelling combat recently to be of more use in corp trips.
  2. When a route to a safe spot exists in the wilderness, the best way to PK someone is to camp that route until they appear. There is nothing inherently wrong with this, however sometimes you just want to kill someone and screw the wait. This is currently possible at bosses like Calisto, where the only wait involved is the short time spent world hopping.
  3. I agree with this completely. They should refer to these things separately as combat minigames. If they place the overworked wilderness bosses in safe zones, then they would likely become too safe like KBD. I hope this is the case. However I notice that on their list of things, there are a lot of places a mistake like this could happen and the wilderness could be made too safe. Since they list so many changes, I expect at least one of these changes to have a negative impact (based on the statistics alone).
  4. Good luck with your application. I'm sure you won't need it though with your history, nice total level too
  5. I'm not hurt by my ping much, but my download speed can be a problem sometimes, even on OSRS.
  6. 99 Guys we maxed, you can't go further than this. It's game over.
  7. Good luck in your application. Is your account still a Zerker or did it become a main with the release of OSRS?
  8. I should point out that they already have bot detection systems, so they can detect some kinds of abnormal activity already. There is also a j-mod reply on the thread bellow from November, two days after the update was released.
  9. I think it is reassuring that Jadex is listening to prominent Youtubers, many companies wont do anything of the sort. It's also amazing that Jadex was aware of the issue so soon within a couple days (might have been the first) a jMod mentioned the issues had been noticed. Sure they took too long to fix it, however as far as companies go I think they are doing pretty well.
  10. Please join our Discord server and read the #joining_wg channel to see the final step in the process. Ivory Blade What is your current RS name? Ivory Blade List any previous RS names: What is your total level and combat level? 1772 is my total level 96 is my combat level Tell us about your RuneScape account and history. Started playing in 2007 having heard about the game in 2006. Back in the day I used to make a lot of accounts just to get the right username. I had a knack for choosing un-taken ones (still do) and ivory blade was the first one I found. I have always been a skiller of the classical kind. This means that I woodcut, fish, farm, cook, or mine to make money. Recently I have taken up runecrafting as it is 700k an hour for me, which is sadly the most I'm able to make. It's a step up from the 120k I made woodcutting (I got 99 wcing using magic trees and yews. I estimate it took around 300 hours), and also a step up from sharks and anglerfish which were 110k and 200k respectively. I don't know the exact amount since I've only ever used the vanilla client. The disadvantage of runecrafting is that it is too click intensive to study to. This is ok for holidays, but I will want something else eventually, and once I get 65 runecrafting for a teleport to Yanille, I will probably return to woodcutting. If you didn't know, there is a portal to Sorcerers Tower next to the Yanille bank. I was offered moderation last year I think, but it might have been the end of 2017. Since I don't earn much playing the game, I flip to make the majority of my money. I have about 80m in the bank right now. The disadvantage of flipping is that I can't spend it without hurting future income. I have been saving up for armadyl armor however so I can play castlewars better. I have a zamorak godsword and hasta for this purpose already. The only entries on my boss log are the king black dragon (3), wintertodt (138), giant mole (2), and chambers of Xeric (1). I don't boss often. (The only reason Chambers of Xeric is there is because one time someone offered to teach me it, but the rest of the team didn't approve and I was too embarrassed to continue.) I have no fire cape and have attempted it 4 times. The first time took over 6 hours (I was low level), the second about 4 hours, then 2, and the last one got it down to 1.5 hours. My main problem is finding the time to do it. However at 1.5 hours I suppose its not as hard as it used to be. I only want the cape for access to infernal eels. I probably wont be much use as a PKer, but I'm willing to invest a bit of gp into learning. It will probably cap out at about 1m however. Ideally, I would level up magic to 85 and invest in mage gear to perform that vital role. This way I would be useful with less (I'm sure there is still a lot to teleblocking optimally) experience and training. I can only afford to play weekends as I work 5 days a week. I also dedicate at least one day every second week to studying (usually a weekend.) Tell us about your clan history. I used to be in the clan "Rumdeal" however that clan has died it appears. I almost tried to join the WG earlier, but my existing clan kept me from doing it. I want to join this one simply because I find Runescape to be more enjoyable in a clan, and this clan doesn't look like it will ever go away. Tell us about your yourself. Alex Male 25 Physicist and Robotics Engineer I have a job in experimental physics. More specifically ultra-cold physics Hobbies is studying mathematics, reading and going to the gym No idea what to list as talents Likes: Skilling Dislikes: Anything pvm, including skilling bosses How did you hear about us? Runescape forums, remembered you after listening to the musics that starts when you open the main site. What makes you want to join us? I like to have a clan, I like organizations with history and culture, and I like the musics which plays when you open the wilderness guardian main page. Do you agree to the rules and requirements of WG and understand that this is an honour clan? Yes Come clean about anything that may deter us from accepting you: I don't like the direction that this game is going in regards to skilling. I posted a very cringy reddit post 2 days ago now which I regret. I may delete it soon. Never botted Spying sounds cool! Never scammed Never RWTed I did beg when I was a free to play player. I got about half of my bond money doing this, and the other half from hobgoblins dropping limpwurts and yew tree logs.
