I have found a new game from ijji/WebZen. It is decent. Reminds me of WoW and Guild Wars and such. Another free MMORPG on the market, but it still is pretty good. It is called Soul of the Ultimate Nation.

I watched a video on YouTube of the HD gameplay after I received an e-mail about it and I was hooked.

What? I only raid 10 hours a week!

// edit //

And the three hours on Wednesday in ToGC10.

// edit //

And the 30 minutes in VoA25 on Tuesday.

// edit //

And the 2 hours back in ToGC10 yesterday.

// edit //

And the daily heroics, almost done farming triumphs!

// edit //

And the time it took for VoA10/Ony10/Ony25.

// edit //

I've never played WoW but the trailers look so epic I wet my pants the first time I saw them (especially the Lich King one) tongue.gif

But I use to play Warcraft III: Reign of Chaos and Frozen Throne and I LOVED THEM!!! They never got boring or uninteresting!

Just a general question for anyone who plays WoW, sicne I loved the storyline of Frozen Throne.

What happens to Arthas after he becomes the Lich King? Is he still ruling the world or does someone overthrow him in the game? And what happened to the elf guy (I forget his name, but he was the blind dude with the Naga)? I thought he died but apparently he's still alive? Whats up with that?

We're in the middle of that expansion now, the next major patch will introduce the Ice Crown Citadel where we get to defeat Arthas. How we'll pull it off though I haven't got a damn clue. happy.gif

Illidan? He was the final boss in the Burning Crusade expansion:
    Illidan Stormrage was the self-proclaimed Lord of Outland, ruling from the Black Temple. He was born a night elf, and as stated by Maiev Shadowsong, became "neither demon nor night elf, but something more." He was the twin brother of Malfurion Stormrage and was in love with Tyrande Whisperwind. Once an unusually gifted sorcerer, the extent of his powers became difficult to classify due to his powers increasing in large bursts as a demon hunter, sorcerer, and having absorbed the powers of the Skull of Gul'dan.

    His pursuit of power and arcane mastery led him to commit a number of horrific acts against his own people and the races of Azeroth, including defecting to Sargeras during the War of the Ancients and creating the second Well of Eternity. For his actions, he was imprisoned for ten thousand years, until his release during the Third War. He came to be called the Betrayer for his acts against the night elf people and carried the title of Lord of Outland.

    Seeking to bring down her erstwhile prisoner, Maiev allied with Akama to invade the Black Temple, where she cornered Illidan in his inner sanctum and struck him down, bringing an end to one of the most tragic stories in Azeroth's history.

Thanks Eregion2. In Frozen Throne, it sort of leads you hanging with Illidan because it shows him "dying" but I guess he never does. Shame he dies though, he was one of my favorite players.

I hope they release a Warcraft IV though, I really want the humans to make a comeback and kick some Undead butt.

Tbh, they gave him a terrific ending encounter. You should seriously watch those vids. The Burning Crusade one with Illidan is the reason why I ever bought into WoW in the first place.

The problem with WoW is that it really is just doing the same thing over and over again, and while it starts off being fun it just gets a little boring.

That and also, if you cannot spend many hours a week playing , then there is little point because you just end up never progressing and get stuck with crap gear.

Agreed. There were so many custom games, I never got bored biggrin.gif

I've played both games, got pretty far into them myself. I've pretty much had a decent fill of solo and multi PvP in RS, maxed the important stats (combat), and have a pretty respectable bank. In WoW, I'm geared pretty well pvp/dps/tanking wise. Basically I'm just waiting for weekly raid resets to get better loot, so theres alot of boring time.

Multiplayer wise I think RS has alot more potential. Clanwise, I think communities and rivalries are much stronger. You have alot more contact with other communities.

In WoW, you dont really have as great pvp, but you have raids and something CONSTANTLY to do. There really is no end in wow; you can always be doing something USEFUL. In RS, not so much. Keep in mind I dont find skilling useful, so this is debatable for some.

Both games get really repetitive. If theres not a raid in WoW, I'm not doing much. If theres no clan event, im not doing much again (I pretty much had everything id ever want in RS).

RS was more addicting.

WoW is an easy way to pass time (I'm not addicted contrary to popular belief). In RS, there was too much downtown. I would pick RS when clanning was more fun and there wasnt politics or so much arrogance.

I personally dont see myself playing WoW 3 months from now, unless the new patches really make it worth it.

Try high-end arena. smile.gif

WoW itself isn't addicting. It's that you have an easy source of entertainment just a click away that is.
