This thread is about where you started clanning and what the clan's names were and how you got into clanning in the first place.

I'll start off.

Ok, well to start i was a lvl 80cmb going out to pk with my friend rickson and we came across this clan called Menacing warriors and we asked if we could tag along and they allowed us to however i was the only one to join them seeing as rickson was a duo pk'er lol anyways i was in MW for about a year by which point the community went to shit with all these fucking new kid's that kept comming in and disturbing what was once a good thing. I then left to join the clan silent strike (great clan never will i forget it) which then allied with some unknown clan that i've forgot about a long ass time ago lol and formed valiant which died 4 months after it's inception (ironic innit?) at which point i rejoined MW and was once again in there for 8 months then said fuck it and made my own clan Rivalry Damage which lasted a little over 2 years but closed due to complications involving me and the co-leader gravex2(R.I.P) then rejoined mw for the remainder of the time before it closed i was promoted to secondary leader but the stress was too much for just one major active leader (me) to deal with a mass slumping clan and alot of kid's with "tough shit" attitudes so i left and closed MW down which ultimately lead to me joining the clan The Crusade led by popabear0 and CocoBug who betrayed the clan and forced a closure which led to the birth of Raining chaos after a year i was promoted to Ambassador and due to the clan mass slumping i resigned and the clan closed and thus here i am in WG.

lol so please post your clan history and why you changed clans biggrin.gif

I was fishing with a friend in Catherby. A clan passed by trying to do a recruitment parade. They asked me if I wanted to be in a clan, I was interested, and I ended up on their site.

The clan was named The Legacy (TL) and I was in there for just over a year, ending up as leader for nearly 9 months of that.

Then ex-members of The Legacy that I knew were in WG. So I came here.

Started out in some old school clan in around 2005 i believe called Certified Public Assasins was lead by a good friend of mine with the rsn of Gandalf numbers. We was a pure clan and I was about 90 Combat at the time. We had epic pulls so we thought like 30 people in P2P which was great for the time and we did rock quite a few people until 3 kids managed to clear our whole clan with barrage dry.gif We started to slump then eventually Gandalf decided to shut the clan down and we did try to revive it a couple of times to no avail.

The next clan i joined was Deathrow. They was pretty decent clan mostly F2P i think there reqs was around 90 or 95 +. I got on well there until i made enemies with some guy called Busterlin he got a leadership position and turned everybody against me along with some other kid named jjm numbers and in the end i decided to leave.

I then wound up at Wilderness Guardians in march 2006 and i been here ever since biggrin.gif

Don't even remember which clan I joined first any more. Though it follows a pattern, a friend or friends asked me to join a clan he was in. This is where I get lost it was either Legacy (not the same as Lefty's) or Evolution. After the one closed and the other died I've been in clans ever since.

I'll quote from my history chapters 2 and 3.

Chapter Two
The Dragon Hunters

In August 2004 we left the USA and moved to Northwest England. I had not played RuneScape in ages, but when I started High School I found that many of my classmates also played at the time. I formed a group for us known as the "Dragon Hunters". The original members were Adam (Ads322), Josh (Fierius92), Rob (Omegastomper), Ste (Steyso1000) and Ryan (Raz110693). Josh was the highest at around level 50ish. I was determined to become the leader of the group so began training Kecooler on everything and anything.

So it was around early 2005 that Kecooler became my second main. I had completely lost the sense of fun in the game and was all focused on competition. I remember nothing of going from level 20ish to level 60. I got membership in mid-2005 and was a true noob about it. I would buy team capes and go to F2P worlds and say "I'm a member - see the cape?".

My group time started there as well. My first group was a small team at Varrock wilderness known as the 10,000 Fists. I was recruited, and there were maybe 3 members (Mine531, Bullfrogsomething(124 I think it was) and a third who I have long forgotten.) and our uniform was full monk robes and a water tiara. We didn't do anything except from Varrock PK for a while, but it was the start of my clan world times. I focused on giving the Dragon Hunters a website and a forums and tried a few events (Mostly Dragon Hunting and raiding the Bandit Camp, the latter is a key one for me). None were very successful.

In mid-2006 I met a friend called Terry (Tezzer_F, who is one of my oldest friends) and his clan the Siths at the Monastery. I was around level 30 at the time, and since they were all level 30s as well and heading to the wilderness, I joined in. They proceeded to charge and raid the bandit camp (Killing bandits of course). I will always remember that - walking up from the Monastery, the leader giving his "This is my clan, you follow my orders" speech past the Dark Knights fortress, and the charge of maybe 5-10 people. I thought it was so amazing, and I knew I was destined for leadership.

The Dragon Hunters branched out from my High School, and I tried in-game recruiting. I would go through Varrock and Falador spamming "Level 30+ clan - Dragon Hunters - Follow to join!". I got a following of around 10 people once and actually got screenshots of it, but they are long lost. After the recruitment drive, I barely saw any of the members again.

DH was not a proper clan though, and their chapter comes to an end in mid-2006. I was talking to Terry about the Siths and he said he had joined a new, proper clan. I was north of the Goblin Village when he told me to Google the clan and find their Invisionfree forums. Their name was the Abyssal Guardians.

Chapter Three
Steps into the Clan World

I never had the opportunity to join AG as a full member (Not as AG anyway), but they were the first real clan who introduced me to the clan world of RuneScape. I was level 71ish when I registered as a clan friend of their forums (They were 85+) and became an unofficial future applicant. However, my training on Kecooler was incredibly slow, possibly because I was getting tired of Kecooler. It had become strained, with skills incredibly poor for it's combat level and wasn't much use. And for a long time I was incredibly immature. Well, inexperienced, but with good intent, looking back. My conversations on the IRC (Which I had never used before) probably best portrayed this image to the higher and experienced clan.

The Dragon Hunters had long quit (All but Ads322) and my training for AG wasn't making much progress. So I went in search of a clan to call my own for the time being. My first real clan was known as Black Fire Knights. It was a small, but close community that I joined but didn't stay around for too long. The second was Leigion of Chaos (Yes, misspelled) which I was in for about a month, but to no success. The third was the legendary TuneScape (Legion 1). TS were at their peak, but I only stayed for a week and departed right before the war against Adelais due to timezone issues.

In late October I had a real life event which changed my outlook on many things, and it was the start of what would be a conflicting battle in an attempt to find a clan that was right for me, and attempting to quit the game at the same time. But on October 29th, I applied for my 4th clan, the Red Blade Hunters. I like to call them my first clan, because they were the ones who really took me up the final steps. On October 29th, shortly after being accepted into the clan, I went on my first PKing trip with my own clan (A weekly PK). We had about 6 people in poor gear (Level 70+ clan, I was 76), but it was amazing. I even got a kill (Nothing special) but was proud to have made my mark.

RBH had a great community and atmosphere, and I felt valued and respected. I had started doing RuneScape videos at this point - filming with Hypercam and editing with Windows Movie Maker (I learned from Steve/Bollucks_Poo in AG). I had made videos for AG's events but they weren't truly recognised. In RBH, my videos became famed and I was known as "RBH's unofficial cameraman". I did my best to make a contribution to the clan as well, and wrote several official topics on the forums which were pinned such as media and guides on PKing and warring.

There was conflict as well. I had made a dedication to the Abyssal Guardians to join them, but was unwilling to leave RBH - a place where I felt I belonged. In the late of 2006, AG had upped their reqs to 93+ but it wasn't working - the clan was slowly dying. In an attempt to reconstruct, they reformed under the name "Unholy", and had some short success. But it didn't last. Unholy, the former Abyssal Guardians, closed on January 7th, 2007.

Someone... Who I never remembered the name of linked me to the WG website when I was like extremely low level and even noobier than now. I trained to reach the requirements for like years (didn't really play too much) and then I started talking on the WG forums late 2006 and then joined in the summer 2007 AND NEVER LEFT! eviltardsmile.gif

I was never in a clan before WG so yeah, it's my first, last and best clan ever!

I would really like to know who that person was who linked me to the WG website though... Always been wondering... frown.gif

Early in 2003, I got caught up accidentally in a clan war and thought it was really cool, so awhile later I went around Varrock/Falador for awhile spamming to start up a clan. We called our selves The Dark Legion and never really did much, but I met some really neat people, three of which I still have added.

Then sometime in 2005, one of these guys (Powerman24... I suck at remembering RL names... Kyle I think?) had joined WG and recruited me. I'd been interested in Arpk'ing since before I knew there was a name for it, so WG was a nice fit. Joined May 2nd, 2005 when Rick (Rick Hamm), Jenny (Dorcha3377), and Joe (Jesusislord6) were council.

Epic times. It was a good run.

I've been in a few other clans since, I remember THE and the Moriquendi, and NT (Neverending Torment, an off-shoot of WG that turned up in 2007 with quite a few old schoolers in it after a major schism -- I can't remember if it correlated with d-day or if it was a separate series of events).

I always end up back here though. You guys are fam. <3

// edit //

Reason: went through and replaced "guilds" with "clans".
