Well we had a meeting this morning, the members consisted of:

-Abs
-Dalejamesw
-His Lordship
-Robertw56

Evil couldn't make it because it is a bad timezone for him, but Eugene filled him in, so it's all evened out, Eugene will fill him in with the details, Council pretty much are United and agree on most topics but I'm sure that Evil will have his opportunity to voice his opinion later on. There were a lot of topics about WG discussed in the meeting, I will give a brief summary of each one:

1. Fixed Raid Times

American Raid
Friday, 7pm EST

Aussie Raid
Saturday, 8pm AEST

European Raid
Sunday, 8pm GMT

On top of that we will have official war every 3 weeks or so.

These times will be instated quite soon. The war once every 3 weeks will be very important and have a lot of significance, banners/underbanners will be made, pm's will be sent out, emails will be sent out, the IRC shall be spammed and for the very important wars, Eugene will probably make those interesting and comical war preparation videos!

We will have these "Raids" weekly, they will be a bit experimental until the big PvP update occurs, so you may call this a "Warm up" if you will.

Credit goes to 1colonel1 that suggested this idea, Topic can be found here:
http://www.wildernessguardians.com/forum/i...?showtopic=5952

2. Election of a New Council Soon

The Council have decided to remove the Application Manager rank because it's a very tiresome rank, it's a lot of dirty work with no recognition, I have to thank the previous application managers for putting up with this tiresome work. Zlatan in particular. It's only fair that the Council do some of the dirty work along with making the big decisions. This leads on to the point that we need a new Council to divide the workload. Of course Zlatan has three choices, he can move to either Event Co-Ordinator, Elite Guardian or he can stay as Application Manager Rank.

3. Deletion of Moderator Rank

Along with the Application Rank being deleted if Zlatan wants to move to another rank, the Moderator rank, that was reserved just in case we needed it again is also being deleted because the Council feel that it will no longer be needed.

4. Application Process Changing

Eugene himself will be working over the next two weeks to change the application system to make it more simpler and more efficient.

5. Set Tasks of Tertiary Leaders

Event Leaders & Raid Leaders will be given set tasks per week just like the weekly fixed Raid Events, Event Leaders will be getting set events so that the workload it shared amongst the Tertiaries and not centred around 1-2 people. We need all the pillars to hold up the workload so that it is only fair for the Tertiaries.

6. Recruitment

Eugene will be working with Dale over the next few weeks to get up a secure Recruitment system so that we have a bigger flow of Trial Guardians.

QUOTE (His_Lordship)
7. Teamspeak

Forgot to add this one. Just thought of it then.
We will be implementing ways to encourage the use of Teamspeak more often.
We want to develop a Teamspeak culture because it is 10 times easier to bond with people than on IRC because when you hear their voice you treat them like a real person.

Thanks,

~Council

Your not the only one who agree's. WG need's these changes to survive i'm glad that Raid will be bought back and the TS aspect is a good thing too. I agree that on TS people are speaking to someone who you can hear emotions on the voice not over IRC in words.

Dat's true, then i guess i'm in the same boat lol. But i highly doubt they will start forcing people to War and do things they DO NOT want to do. Otherwise goodbye a quater of WG?

Very happy with most of this biggrin.gif Looks like a lot is being done for the benefit of WG.

Instead of going through each and every thing im liking, I'm gonna put forward some constructive criticism tongue.gif biggrin.gif

For the weekly raids, it's an excellent idea, a very good warm up as you say, however for the European one, I strongly disagree on the time. Sunday evening is ALWAYS fairly inactive as far as turnouts goes. I always avoid sunday evenings for wars etc unless it's the only option. If possible, it would be great if this could be moved to a different day. If not - ok sad.gif

Greatly looking forward to the recruitment. Noticed over the past 4 days we've had a low amount of intros ohmy.gif Hopefully Gene and Adam can sort that for us biggrin.gif

Good luck, Council tongue.gif

The raid times can still be tweaked, not like it's written in stone yet.

We plan to give the raid times a run with those set times and if one gets bad attendance or there are members who can't make a single one, we will make alterations.

No skillers will be kicked out.
Fighting events will not be compulsory.

Sounds good, few concerns though:

Raids: Safe or Dangerous? We really need to do dangerous every once in a while

As for the fixed times, is it possible to do this method: Keep them on the same days, with one-two hour differences every week to avoid spies.

Good stuff, FFA raids on friday could be something even I could get interested in. Seeing as how weekends and mondays are off limits for me.

Some more weekday events would be radical, not exactly weekly scheduled ones, I mean random spontaneous ones. I simply cannot make some of them, so, having more events like trawler and stuff on tues-fri would allow me to fully devote my time to WG.
