Then allow me to explain a little further, even though I lost the manuscript... I had a few things mixed up. The mercenaries were going to be hired to bring in His Lordship on charges of disertion because he would not take part in the looting of a defenseless village and King Roald cannot spare troops because he is leading a large campaign against Kandarin. The WG have been having to fight off the few soldiers that King Roald has sent so Roald has branded them "Rebels to the crown of Misthalin."

I hope that clears a few things. I have to find that blasted manuscript so I can continue writing and get it copied to my laptop...

Well, this thread has been dead for a while because I had sorta forgotten to keep you updated... Sorry about that. But here is the Prologue for you to read and enjoy:

I am writing this account so that those who find it will know what happened that fateful night. I returned from a successful campaign to find my estate burned, my wife killed, and my children kidnapped. Flying into a rage that I had not felt in ages, I raced to the underground base of the Black Shields, an elite assassin group that had been my friends for so long. I beseeched them to help me, but they refused, saying that they had other contracts at that time. Before I could even reach the door, ten of their finest surrounded me and made an attempt on my life. I quickly dispatched them and fled to Inverness, where my uncle was a wealthy land owner. With his help, I started a mercenary company and became well known in the business of hired blades. With the soldiers of my mercenary company backing me, I returned to the base of the Black Shields and rescued my children. I then returned to Inverness and continued to run my company. This is my account from that point on.

Yeah, I have about 4 chapters done. Just need to copy them to my laptop and expand in some places... Ive recently just gotten over a very bad case of writer's block so I should be turning out a few pages every day.

Right now Im struggling with writer's block. Ive gotten about 6 chapters done and Greil still hasnt made it to the WG yet. Theres been some betrayal in Varrock! You'll see it once I get the book published. And as you can see, Ive changed the setting from Runescape to England, I hope that wont hurt the authenticity of the book. I just want to avoid any possible lawsuits from Jagex...
