I voted pen. It's the most useful, and the longest to keep. As long as it wouldn't be overly expensive (I'd say cap at £2 if we're selling), I'd probably get one.

As for the text, I'd say:

"WildernessGuardians.com
We are the Shield of the Innocent"

Simply because it is very unlikely to change. 6+ years will be 7+ in only a few months. Jagex-endorsed clans could change at any time. Our motto is definitive, and will always apply.

Everything else, we could put on fliers, and hand those out WITH the pen. They're not the longest-lasting, but if we want to get information across, I'd say that's a must.

Shield of the innocent is a bit of a space-waste.
It's useless for recruitment.

And the pens will be free since they only cost... US $0.40 each to make.

I'm not made of money.

Well I dunno how much pens and stuff cost but I'm sure the plastic cups must be very cheap and you don't have to necessarily put anything in them other than like a bookmark.

Its also a matter of carrying 1000 of them in luggage, and then to Runefest mate.
Not very practical on my part. I can get 1k pens into a backpack though.

Then I'd go with splitting it into the website and name, or with "No other clan comes close"

Or maybe a "Got Tea?" to mark our return to London tongue.gif

A bookmark - Useful if you remember it, lasts forever, easily placed in a book and forgotten, judging by RS community most aren't well read tongue.gif
A postcard - Collectable, easily lost misplaced, no real use, 9/10 people would never send an RS related post card
A business card - We aren't a business, would look surreal, create impression of seriousness
A flier/booklet - Fliers usually make it to the nearest rubbish bin then are thrown away
A promotional DVD - Potentially interesting but what content would it include that couldn't be just as easily obtained online
A pen - Useful, practical,
A keyring - Anyone who has keys would already have a keyring
A fridge magnet - Target demographic probably wouldn't need/use one.
A sticker - Most likely would be placed on clothing or something, probably last a few minutes. People may take them to place on friend's backs etc
A badge - Name one person you know who has worn a badge recently for something other than a military event.

My impressions on the list. I would go with either a pen or a bookmark

Lolz, couldn't agree with this more

I voted for the badge but didn't really put too much thought into it. Now that I've thought about it I think the pen would definitely work better. Like everyone's saying it fits in to your pocket and it's generally something that's cheap (for you to buy in bulk) yet less likely to be thrown away. I'm to lazy to look back at who wrote it (lol tongue.gif) but some one said you can slip a flyer in with the jagex pamphlets but that just emphasizes the point that it'll just slip in with other flyers, and then get thrown away without even being really noticed.

For the text on the pen I would go with the one that has our site and how long we've been around. The reason being that for one, it has our site where people can go visit. But more importantly I think that the text stating how long we've been around makes people more inclined to join because it proves that we have a strong longevity with the clan world, and that compared to other more recent clans we have a way better chance of lasting and sticking around. In addition with that we have a really diverse time line of clan history that goes much further back than almost any other clan.

I think it's important that we don't explain how we're similar to other clans, but how we are better. A lot of clans have a 100+ lvl requirement, but not many have been around since 2003.

Magnet because I have some from my travels across the US and Europe. Something to remember the event by--possibly one or more of the other items also and then there is the unique items generated for the event that will not be available until the event.

Thank you Garrett and Dallar.

is the day you have stopped leading them.
They have either lost confidence that you can help them
or concluded that you do not care.
Either case is a failure of leadership.”
