Fuck it. Red pill, there's nothing to stop me from having a good life after taking the red pill and still going to an afterlife if there is one.

Actually, there is something stopping you from having a good life after taking the red pill. That something is:

QUOTE
If you take the red pill you will die immediately.

And even then there's no chance you'll have a good afterlife, because there's still the chance there isn't one.

Fuck it, gotta believe in something to make it in my line of work, even if there's no afterlife and everything just ceases to exist, that's really not that bad.

This... If there isn't an afterlife, well you don't exist and have no thought or w/e lol. If you think about it, it can't be too bad.

That's the nature of the question, isn't it? Conceptually, you're bound to give up something, and it all depends on how much you're willing to accept.

One argument could suggest that even the "greatest" mortal life would still have it's tragedies. The rules say you'll be happy, but by nature of life, no-one is always happy unless they force themselves to believe they are (If you're always happy, it could very well be a Heaven without eternity -- somewhat indicating that Heaven can exist). In this regard, the blue pill would have to make you blissfully unaware of life (because the pill only says it will change your life; not everyone elses), in order to make such a life possible.

You'll be happy for the rest of you're life; you'll be high and delusional, even if the the ones around you - your loved ones - are hurting... making you somewhat more detached from society: lonely but happy (if that's possible) ~ as oppose to the red pill, where you'll just be dead. lol

However, this is just an example, it's not the reason why I personally am inclined to Red. I chose Red more or less because it was too easy. Why ask a question and present a gamble involving something that doesn't exist. You can't say "If you cross this street blindfolded you may or may not get hit by a truck," without there being a chance for the truck existing in the first place... unless you're lying and there's BS involved. (Which is why I would avoid choosing either pill, given the option... But we'll assume the question is legit.)

Frankly, if a pill can control destiny... there's probably a little more to life than I'm aware of.
And, to me, that makes the gamble go from 50:50 to +50:-50, in favor of Afterlife.

That's a bit of a tough question to answer. If I had a choice though, I would take the blue pill because I've got quite a bit to live for right now...with my boyfriend, family, friends, you guys. Personally I find that dying right away is not my thing. It may have been the fact in the past, but I want to live my life first.

Bump-worthy topic though, must have missed it.

Blue pill. Afterlife is a myth.

Blue Pill - I don't believe in the afterlife. I think that Science has carved the way of the world, and I think that one day people will be able to be brought back to life; so red all the way

I'd know that you are not to tempt God and choose not to take either.

Taking the red is a bad idea cause suicide means you are rejected from heaven so it is a deceitful way to put people in hell.

Taking the blue is like wishing you had all the gold in Fort Knox then it magically appears but gets dumped on your head and instant death anyway.

Either way you die, so why chance not it and live life to its fullest.

Too be honest, I completely agree with you. Living life to the fullest and try not to take temptations that could endanger your life is definitely a good way to life.

God is just some guy who bought Sim City and was bored. Some guy sitting at a giant computer is controlling you right now. When you have several decisions going through your head and you don't know which one to pick, God does. "Flirt? Tickle? Entertain?" He decides. You have no say in The Sims. You're just some computer graphic.
That is God.

But you realize that's a bit of a contradiction, don't you? You can't live life to the fullest while avoiding the possibilities of danger. At least not to an effective extent; it's rarely either one or the other. A life of even moderate paranoia can deprive you of some of the most amazing experiences in life. Trust me. Sometimes you just have to let go.

At this point, I'm convinced the only thing you can do in life is observe, adapt, and distract. In that order.

He doesn't really control us. He actually created us like he did all things (although I sometimes question that), and it is like our lives are as they say written in the stars. Whatever happens, it's part of God's plan. I may not go to church that much and I may not do much to practice the Christian faith, but I do believe in some things about God.

If everything in ths bible was true, if you took the red pill you would go to hell anyways, because suicide is a sin. So kyle's point is moot.
