@Rob - I'd call CoB Melodic Death Metal, that seems to be their usual definition.

Speed metal or Melodic Death, depending on which album you listen to.

I usually like almost all types of music, but this kind is annoying as hell to me.
I've actually tried to listen to quite a few of the links and couldn't last the song durations.
Children of Bodom is good though. Whatever genre that is.

Typical... You're just not used to the vocals and/or static-y sound often found in Black Metal guitars. Suit yourself.

I'm not used to Black metal either but I do enjoy what I do listen to, and I guess it's an aquired taste in a sense because not everyone likes static-ish guitar or major blast beats but once you get into it you start appreciating it more. : D

 Tried to listen that, I liked "Leaves' Eyes" and "Lacuna Coil", but < Classical.
