Eugene pulled WG through many obstacles, and WG will always have high respects for him. Hell, I only knew him as a trial member, and still I felt like I knew him for ages. I guess I'm simply saying that the matter of fact is Eugene is probably not gonna come back. He's pressing onward and doing greater things, I dont think he would just quit something he held so dear and worked so hard on, just because he felt like it, or got bored. WG is his home, and where he and many others feel he belongs. But trying to step down and away from something that you have been in control of for so long... It's like an addiction. But with this, there are no 12 step programs or medications to assist. The question may also be put in different ways. What is Eugene without The Wilderness Guardians? What are the Wilderness Guardians without Eugene? There are ties that bind no matter how far, no matter what happens. Some of them will never be broken. Others get frayed by our actions, or lack of action. But there are always the ones that will stay there, and pull WG together. Look in your heart, listen to your thoughts.
