Ever since I noticed that the FFA arenas have the "GDZ" looking place, all I want to do is just fight and own there with some members of WG. I know you don't get items for killing, but still. It's just like good old times smile.gif

Overall some good ideas. I like the idea of getting a big official war every 3 weeks or so, because I enjoy pulling 40+ people and everyone get to fight.

The fixed raid times are not exactly in my favour, meaning that I am not going to be able to make 2 of the 3, but right now that is because of in real life activities that I am in. Within a few months it should all simmer down and I should be able to be online more often, which means making more events.

I think that only the official wars are the ones that will be "highly advised" or "mandatory" to go to, but think - that is only one every 3 weeks or so. The raids are there for people that want to get ready for the new PvP system that is coming out and also for another event to bring to WG.

Sounds good, starting to get similar to the old system again. Reviving TS is a good idea, you can get a pretty good community starting up on TS.

But I will mention that you should remember skillers. With all the new PVP updates, its all too easy to get caught up and think that that's all people want to do.

EDIT: Bah, forget it, can't be bothered anymore.

Removal of App Manager was pointless. It's hardly the hardest job, and alot of people would be up for doing it. You shouldn't just delete it. The council complain about being busy all the time anyway, them doing the apps again would just make them busier.

App manager is the worst job in WG, apart from Primary leader.
You won't understand until you've been there Mickey.

Actually I like having set times for raids smile.gif

When they are spontaneous or random ppl forgt or get caught up in other activities.

The raids will be great retraining for me since I have been out of the game for a while, so looking forward to cleaning off my rusty blade. It also gives me a chance to learn the way WG works as a unit. The tighter the team the tighter the win smile.gif

On a side note Someone mentioned more skiller activites possibly during the week. TBH that would be great! I work odd hours so I am USUALLY available thru the winter and fall months. Having skilling activites to do with the clan would be great!

And nice work on keeping WG members updated smile.gif

Good decisions guys.

TBH, you should do this more often. This being informing us about what's going on. It's good to be included in these kinds of things and get the full scoop.

Anywho, good to know these kinds of decisions are being made.

EDIT:

To the people worried about not being able to make the raid times, don't worry. Since this is still in an experimental process, there are only a few times to choose from. However, chances are as they become more popular, more times will be introduced for each timezone.

Also, I'd assume that until the PvP worlds come out, they'd be safe that way there is no risk, and nothing making members not want to go.

We plan to give the raid times a run with those set times and if one gets bad attendance or there are members who can't make a single one, we will make alterations.

No skillers will be kicked out.
Fighting events will not be compulsory.

Good because looking at those times i can maybe make the aussie raid on saturday morning only and thats if i am up early

I know it WG it would be considerably harder, but I have led a clan, no where near as complicated as WG, but I had to manage all the apps and I had no problems with adding people to the ML, giving them access etc.

Don't forget about assigning them mentors, sending them a pm over the forum, it's really not as easy as it looks.

TBH, I'd still be up for it. I got no recognition when I done it with my old clan, so it's nothing new. But anyway, I forgot to say, on the rest of it, well thought out.

Just to add, in a larger clan there isn't only a larger number of applicants you've got to give access to, find a mentor for and all that stuff already listed through, but there are also more applications to sift through. the larger volume has an impact. There's also the decision making that comes with bigger clans. It's one thing to say you've led a clan, and it's another to say you've led a well known clan. Obviously you know that already. However, with lesser known clans, you're more inclined to just accept people, even if they might not meet the requirements. Here, we've got the ability to just say no because you don't meet our standards. Also, you get to pick an choose from the ones that do.

Think of it this way. When you're applying to college/university there are going to be loads people that have the same resume as you. Good grades, extra curricular activities, test scores and such. Just because you've all met the requirements, doesn't mean you all get in. They pick the best of them.

In the same respect, WG App Managers have to go through the applicants and think "Well, they've both got decent CMB and they both have war experiences, but one has had leadership experience in another somewhat well known clan, and the other one looks like he's got potential with this clan in particular."

Not trying to dumb down your past actions, I'm just saying that you can't say you've done it before, because it's really a totally different task once you're doing it for a bigger audience.

Colonel and Mickey, you both have your points and I get both sides.
Mickey, WG App Manager can't be replicated. It's a unique position.
Colonel, his previous leadership experience is enough of an indicator to me that he knows what he's up against.
