Cya around. I didn't know you well, but you shouldn't get discouraged simply because you aren't elected warlord. It's not just time in the clan that would get you this position. It's a willingness to lead and being very talented at PvP combat. You may be a raid leader, but do you have that extra kick needed to be the warlord? If you do (or did), you should have showed the clan that. Pk videos, a gallery of your PKs, a guide on how to handle p2p wars, anything.

As for the drama/flaming/whatever. You shouldn't have let that gotten to you. However, it did and it ruined your time here.

Sorry to hear that,
Good luck in your new clan.

I never applied for warlord?
Lol?

I would have never applied for it anyway with talented GMT/EST raid leaders going for it.
They have more of an ability to lead our 'favored' timezone.
Its best for you not to post on things when you don't know the situation mmk.

WG really does have a division in it, and I hope that the new warlord will be able to fix things to make WG a good (warring) clan again. However I'm going to jump ship now, I've seen warlords come and go, and nothing really picked up for me.

Sounds like you wanted to be one, even though you didn't actually apply. Also, since you said in the past 1.5 years, I thought you applied a while ago and failed to get elected back then. I know you didn't apply this time, thanks.

Lol you're still lost kid.
I might've applied once before for council, i'm not sure.
I don't even think that was a warlord position lol.
Anyway, that was before I was a raid leader.

Which was lyk 6 months ago lol.
In the last 2-3 months as raid leader I saw that it wouldn't be in the clans best interest to have an Australian warlord, hence why I did not apply for it this time.
If I even thought about applying for it, my application would have been in the topic.

Now, please, save yourself any more embarrassment.
Shut up and get off my topic.

Edit: Spelling.

I'm really glad I defended you when the council accused you of being a spy.
Since then you've been one hell of a member.

I don't really want to talk you out of it, but I hope you know I think you are making a terrible mistake. You say WG isn't going anywhere, and yet we climbed several dozen RAW ranks in a weekend, and we're set to climb another one next weekend.

And, most importantly, I now have 3 months of uninterrupted time to give to WG and you know that it will make a difference. We are capable of being amoungst the best and we will be.

You say WG isn't moving forward. It's true, for a few months we stood still. But not now, you've seen in Level 3 how much energy I am giving to non-attendees to wars and such.

We're not the greatest warring clan yet, but we're still the best clan... /ego
That's all I really want to say.
Hoping you reconsider.

I agree with Lordy, WG is definately changing for the better. The last war we pulled 49 people, that's not great, but its better then before and a start. I've quit TGC and have started putting alot of effort into WG, and have recruited around 10 new australian/nz members, most of which are 130+.

Really do hope you reconsider, we ARE getting better, and we could use an experience aussie raid leader like yourself :<

It has come to the point where I've been around too long and WG really hasn't gone anywhere that I would have liked it to.
WG really does have a division in it, and I hope that the new warlord will be able to fix things to make WG a good (warring) clan again. However I'm going to jump ship now, I've seen warlords come and go, and nothing really picked up for me.
It's been up and down for 1.5 years now.

A lot of things really did turn me off WG.
I'm not going to name them all, but for the last 1-2 months things just built up and up over time.
I suppose about half the reason is all the fighting and people not wanting to attend raids/wars.
I really don't know how you guys want to take RAW ranks when half cannot care how we do in wars.

On leaving topics you get a lot of posts saying "Please stay, things will improve".
Last time I wrote a leaving post I got that.
To tell you the truth, nothing really has improved.
Don't say that again, of course there is a chance it may improve, however i'll take my chances and trust my intuition on this one.

Where to now.
I'm not sure really.
Kind of need to go some godwars/dks.
Was thinking of joining Fatal Premonition.
Good aussie clan with 1-4 hrs pkri's + wars.
Sounds right up my alley.
O deer, just realised I gotta remind myself every week to do tog.

I'll take away some fun memories from my earlier days, but lately its been stressful.
Leaving WG will take a great weight off my shoulders.
The burden of all the emotional bullshit and pointless flaming really took its toll.
When I first joined WG I told myself it would be a stepping stone onto greater things.
I'm finally taking that step.

I'll hang around for the next 3 days, saying my goodbyes.
If you would like to know what I think of you, feel free to approach me.
I'll tell the truth, no bullshit involved.

Farewell WG.
Good luck.

When I first decided joining I wasn't looking for a warring clan. I was merely curious about clans, I thought clans were just groups that does things together, like a pack, where numbers gives identity, used as leverage for maybe the sake of some sense of pride and belonging. And that's it. I had joined WG then, because it held values that makes it very different from so many clans I've reviewed, and wanting to meet people within the clan I think are awesome for having join a clan with such values.

For clan worlds, there were wars, quarrels, news and fights that gets so personal you'd start to think what's the fuss really all about? It is a game, an interactive game, for social fun, in-game fun and relaxation. Enjoy playing it and be happy with who, mates/friends, and for what you play with. Take those away, something huge seemed amiss - regardless whatever activity it is, including wars if you must love it.

I'm not going to dissuade you nor am I going to say how great a clan WG is. All I can say is, every clan has its own uniqueness, either they first represent something really different or that whatever you're looking for you believe it has more of it than others.

I never knew WG wants to be first a warring clan before a community. And I do not believe wars/skills/events makes up the core values of a clan or makes it really different - every clan has those things - but its the community that gathered for a communal purpose that eventually defines it. Yet, ironically, the decision the community makes in deciding how wars/skills/events is allowed to affect them in turn, molds the community in return effect. Its a cycle, but not fixed and reacts to how its managed.

The beauty about low times and inactivities are the bonding opportunities you have with fellow mates, precisely the numbers are low and closer - those who tried to contribute in the face of hard times, together. Each character surface and you simply appreciate those who tried. All else, falls into whatever place it sees fit. Then things starts growing, with its own sets of issues again. Back up, back down, back up.

If you really can't find any values in staying, no one can tell you otherwise. But I do hope, not all the memories you've had were that discouraging. And I'm sure it isn't.

First of all, you're a trial guardian. Flaming in your trial process is a very, very bad idea

You don't know what Maths did for this clan or how long he stayed to call him a pansy, he's been in this clan for a long time now and is a great PK leader. You have no right to flame him, you don't know him, and you certainly haven't PK'ed enough with him to be able to criticise his methods.

Maths should and will be commended for all he has done for this clan Zooby.
Even if he is leaving, he has totally transformed our warring sector, even though he may not know it.

We owe Gary every ounce of gratitude.
