Joe I laughed in real life. I don't think any one is desparate for porn. It is just the principal of the reason to keep them from being eligible to join that forum. I myself am not willing to show my private information to join there.

I think the counter was added to keep track of who doesn't attend wars by all members. So it looks badly and they can harass you if your number is low. Yet another way of forcing war to be important in WG. Just my thoughts on it.

My number is not as bad as some of the others.

They're emeritus, they can't have every right and privilege an active member has. It's the principle of it, not fair for an active member to be active and involved and an emeritus can have the same privileges without the responsibility.

pft I am more involved than half of wg, and I can't even get on rs.

who the hell is talking about porn? did i say something about it? no then why are you coming up with it? i never said i wanted to view the forums because of the porn.

and wtf are you talking about responsibility? it's an adult forum = fun forum....i wouldn't mind if emeritus wasn't able to viw the war forums but this...it's ridiculous, just like the stuff you're saying.

Rach has succinctly said exactly what a fair few emeritus are thinking....

Once again... I point out that half of emeritus (yes I agree some of emeritus do get an easy ride) have spent a significant portion of their time in WG in a position of responsobility, I myself have been in WG since June? 2007 I think....

Of that time up untill my resignation about a month ago I had only spent 6 WEEKS as anything other than a leadership position (a week or 2 as trial and 4-5 weeks as a normal member) so I really don't get why I should be penalised because I can't juggle 50+ Hours a week of work as well as an event or two.

I have to agree with Bam to say that you truly don't understand the issue here Joe, it is not that I can't see the potential porn in the Adult forum, because personally I wouldn't watch it anyway, but it is more that people like myself who have dedicated themselves to WG for a significant period of time are now being told "no thanks, you only matter if you can come to wars/events".

To me this defeats the entire point of WG as a community clan, as effectively you are saying the only thing we care about is what events you can attend now, not what you have done for WG in the past, nor what you may do in the future.

I agree. Basically what you're saying is that Emeritus don't really matter to WG...UNLESS, they can make to wars and such. It's not very fair to those who are Emeritus to be treated in this way. Afterall, almost every member of the Emeritus rank has had a positive influence and helped mold this clan. To shun them now just because they don't play RS as much as the rest of you is truly a shame.

Emeritus needs to be fixed and those with that rank, treated with a little more respect than what's being shown them now...especially from certain members who AREN'T leaders.

same as the fact that emeritus people can't view the adult forums because we are not dedicated enough, even if most of emeritus used to be tertiaries or even council for more than a year. That's another slap into our faces.

And I have attended more wars than you.
I'm not complaining.
It's a measure of recent activity not overall activity.

There are bigger issues here than a war banner. Emeritus are being used as a scapegoat for us losing the SA war. We were outnumbered at the SA war, but we still could have won by being better organized. Unfortunatly we had doomed ourselves to losing by persuing a policy of 1 war every 3 weeks, so that as a clan we were all a rusty at warring.

Emeritus are not supposed to be an active rank anyways, so when they come to wars at all we should be thankful for their activity. It does not make any sense to blame activity problems on members whos rank is defined by inactivity.

It makes even less sense to impose forum restrictions upon them. I can understand restricting them from voting, because the council position pertains to active members, however that is with the assumption that the inactive status of emritus is not open to debate. For such matters emeritus should have a say as it directly affects them. I however can see no justification for restricting them from adult forums other than pure spite.

No they're not supposed to be active as in attending an event or more a week, BUT they are supposed to attend full out wars.
