Am drunk, will respond when I have time.
But I skimmed it and picked up a lot of mistakes.
Most importantly, WG is not supposed to be democratic.

Funny, I read so many "Don't go" posts, but have yet to receive a meaningful reason.

David,

I'm one to care less about the promotions anymore. I may never be promoted again with the changes of requirements to go to war. I'm staying true to who I am. There is not anyone in Council or Staff that I wish to kiss the behind of. I see it too. I love that your not one to do things to just impress others. I read everything and it took a long time and I went back through the suggestion post that you listed also. Some of those were done while I was very sick and I never had read them.

Sometimes you just have to do things on your own even if only a few people are willing to go along with you. Like my challenges. Look who reads those and signs up. lol Mostly my friends. They may be doing it for WG or they may be doing it for friendship. It doesn't really matter why. It just good that maybe I can make a small difference.

I left for my week of vacation from WG cause of all the insulting/joking remarks being said to me and the immature attitude of some members in IRC. I knew I only needed the week off to refocus and come back ready to be a better member. Sometimes, we look at ourselves differently than how others see us.

I found alot of Muggers posts insulting also. You don't need anyone's approval to be a member or to leave. I just know I have a heart felt desire for you to stay with us. I don't always get to talk to you, but I know I fully respect you and your opinions. Your idea are virtuous, respectful and offer hope for the future of WG. I would feel a void in the clan if you would leave. I find your encouraging to me when some of the other members just come down on me. I never feel animosity from any of your corrective or disagreements with other members.

If you would leave WG, we would be impaired and not a complete clan with out you.

I had a similar fight before with other council members about not trusting the membership to make our own decisions. They put up polls to allow us to vote on things and when it don't go as they want they try to do it there way anyway. Why offer us the chance to vote if you know the outcome has to agree with your opinions. Even when we were recently offered a poll in lvl 1 3/4 same thing happened. WG is a leadership clan. We can only get done what they want to do. I can't see that changing overnight. But stay around and I'll be by your side trying to work on a better WG.

Long story short of why you should stay, you are part of the family. If you had a bad mother or father (staff) you just don't move out. You have to figure a way around the problems and not surrender. It is sorta like your pkri wars stuff. Don't give up, I know you are a good fighter so don't go quit and retreat from this. Some of the scandalous ways in WG makes it all the more of a challenge to you.

With Love,
Rachel

Wow, that is some post Rachel.

That would be enough to make me stay, but it's only the way a few people feel. I can say with 100% certainty that several people in this clan could care less if I left or not. To some I might be an asset, to others I'm a nobody. I'm not asking for everyone to praise me, but when just a few show their concern it speaks on behalf of the rest of the clan. The fact they're silent takes away from your points, regardless of how firmly you believe them. It's just that way.

I've re-read everything and I see three posts that could actually keep me here. Granted they're by good friends which plays a big role, but their reasons are true. The silence is really overpowering though.

Some agree but could care less obviously. Some it seems didn't even read my post.

You don't have to know me to give me a reason to stay.

War is in a day right?

Hell.. I am not good at making long meaningful posts, so I am not going to attempt it or bullshit you through it. I am just going to try to be straight to the point.

As a member of WG I have noticed you try to make suggestions to improve us as a clan. I have seen you try to make an event to allow people to get items for a war, that had a decent turnout, and I enjoyed. Personally, I have looked at your suggestions and have thought that they were good and I didn't post on them because I did not have anything that I believe could be constructive to help build on the suggestion.

I have respect for you not only because you have been in WG for an uncountable amount of days more than me, and that you are a higher rank, but because you have the suggestions and the mind to improve whatever you set out upon. For this I do not want you to leave. Maybe one day what you say can hit someone and they will take it in and expand on it, but it is not always going to go that way and such is life.

Nevertheless, your impact will have the same effect if you leave or not at this point, so why not stay in your home.

I must say I would be very surprised if any member that had spent any decent amount of time in WG would see you as anything other than a good person and as a true member of WG, I sure as hell don't see you as an asset, more because you are a good person, and a friend, not some commodity to be traded.

I have followed this thread closely David, and I am sorry that you feel that silence from people like me represents a lack of care and overpowers the true care shown by members such as Rach.

I have always firmly behlived that once somone has posted a leaving thread I should treat them no differently to normal, as I don't see any point in all of a sudden becoming best buddies to try and keep somone in WG, only to let them down a few days after as everything settles down to what you would normally expect me to be like.

I genuinely hope you do decide to remain in Wg, I must admit I don't know you well enough to think that I could influence your decision, so I shall wish you the best of luck in making your decision.

Best of luck with your decision David, stay in touch whatever you do

David,

Rick Hamm hasn't posted yet. I know how he would agree with us. Keep him in mind as your making your decision too.

This holiday season some people who would be posting may just be busy in rl. Look how many days it took for me to get to your thread.

Omg David, I just read this and its a fantastic summary of the problems in this clan, couldn't put it better myself.

QUOTE
Personally, I’ve suggested multiple improvements that I feel could really benefit WG, but nothing. It’s not even that they weren’t implemented, it was as if they weren’t even looked at. I’m sure they were, but I don’t know for sure. Some people have great ideas that seem like they’re overlooked completely for whatever reason.

I can identify with this so much. This is something which had me on the verge of leaving. No one posted on topics and it was like no one gave a crap (in leadership). Sure, on occasions they were read, but we had no way of knowing that, and its simply aggrevating.

QUOTE
The Council takes it upon themselves to do EVERYTHING and personally I don’t think that’s right. Let us do some stuff, because I’m SURE many of us would be more than happy to help you guys, you just won’t let us in (like I’ve said before, we make suggestions but have no clue if you even read them or take them into account).

Again, spot on.

As for livening up the forums, I completely agree. I always come on the forums looking for something interesting, something exciting. It draws people to the forums and helps activity no end. Its up to us all to think creatively when we can and throw in new things. It should come naturally, shouldn't really need addressing.

QUOTE
We’re so impersonal, but this has been slightly addressed with the recent change to applications. I mean, it’s pretty pathetic when you’re getting PMed by people asking “Hey, add this person because he needs one more friend on his list for his application.”

So true, completely agree. Its the same with war sign-ups. Sure, activity is important but sometimes its like the leadership is telling everyone "Hey you whoever you are, get off your arse. We're not paying your for nothing. Go sign up now". Slight exaduration, but it comes off as that. Its sometimes like the clan is full of cadets. You need to throw in some good humour and politeness now and then, or people will just lose interest.

I really do hope you stay. Its nothing which can't be changed, and with people changing position all the time its difficult to keep things the same way, but it can be achieved. Everyone's trying hard, it just needs to go in a slightly different direction.

Right you are Rachel. I've been down and out for a spell but I'm glad I've come back when I did. There is ALOT I want to say about one of my best friends in the RS world, David, and his post. I'll elaborate more in a bit but for now David....

Please stay because I asked you to...at least for now.
