everything you take has an effect of you. it just depends on what you're looking for.

as an athlete it's pretty standard that marijuana dosen't improve athletic performance to be significant unless of course a chemist goes ahead and finds a way to implement it in such a way that it gives said performance.

I think marijuana isn't legalized for the same reasons as same-sex marriage, there's no real reason against it except for cultural norms. But since politicians are made and broken by how well they stick to the hegemony held to by their constituents, it'll be awhile until we see either one make significant headway into actual federal legislation.

Yes, but as long as it is not in public, and must be under a certain highness to drive. Kind of the same thing as alcohol.

Saved that pic, thanks Sonixpber.

I can't wait to see how many states follow if / when, California legalizes it.

I believe I stole it from one of the guys at http://forums.entensity.net/index.php but I'm not sure. Private forum, registration won't open up for another year or so I think neko2.gif.

Just to stay on topic, now that I'm finally 18 I can roll my own blunts without having to ask people to buy em for me. Now I just have to learn a decent technique haha

How old are you?
17, 18 in 3 weeks.

Should marijuana be legalized?
No.

If so why, if not why not?
If marijuana were to be legalized you have to realize the long term effects. The big tobacco companies would take over the production and mass market it. Not to mention, that just as cigarettes are taxed the fuck out of, marijuana will be also. Now, I think it should be to where if you were caught with marijuana, then you get a fine, and its a small misdemeanor. Marijuana is known to actually improve driving skills and your ability to focus while driving as well.

Furthermore, I have no inclination to try anything harsher then marijuana, and I have no intentions to smoke cigarettes. I can honestly tell you that if marijuana were to be legalized, and alcohol abolished, then society would function a lot better.

Do you smoke?
Hell yeah, everyday. Well... recently I got drug tested by my dad, and I have to lay off of it for the next few weeks. I smoked about an ounce over the course of 9 days, and I have had no problems with it.

I wub.gif to get stoned.

Hell yea man I hear ya.
I still haven't really tried to roll my own joints because I have a joint rolling machine. I think I'm going to try it out sometime just to see the difference.

@Planolocal
I don't think big companies will be able to control the Marijuana industry, because homegrown organics and hydro is just the best that's out there.

The only thing companies can do is grow warehouses full, but you can tell the difference when you grow. If you get plants a lot of love you will notice it. You can't give them that much love in a mass production environment.

But for sure. Getting stoned really brightens my day.

companies are money-making entities. just because something is better dosen't mean people will buy it plus there's a system to everything.

ex. mc Donalds
-u can make a better hamburger but that dosen't mean you won't stop by a mcDonald.

i do imagine that chemist will be an essential asset for marijuana innovation capabilities as well as bio-genetics. currently medical marijuana by itself is subject to impurity for specific illness.

Should marijuana be leglised?
Medicinal use only

If so why, if not why not?

I just disagree with substances that alter your state of mind (Yes this includes alcohol). However, it has shown to be an effective treatment for certain illnesses and medical problems and so to smoke it legally should be fine.

Do you smoke?
No, no desire to ever.

I don't really care if it gets legal or not. I smoke a decent amount, and its easy not to get caught by the cops. I have friends with medical pot cards anyways. I suppose it'd be cool if it was legal, because then way more pot would be regulated and controlled, but that's just me.

Either way I don't care. I won't smoke any more or less if its legal.

It has been around forever, its like herbal medicines. If it can help someone with relief why not? Tobacco is a plant and its legal but the negative affects of it are very well documented.
Alcohol well, I won't go there. Unless its used in moderation any thing can be bad.
Pot is no different than any drug that is prescribed by a doctor. Anything used to excess can be harmful.
I think it should be legalized to help regulate the trade.

Neither is chicken nuggets, but we have tons of fatty people that eat them everyday. Being addicted is not always a physical thing, sometimes it is a mental thing.

I can't go to the mall without earrings . . . I'm not addicted to my earrings, but I just won't go to the mall without them. (I have spare earrings in the car.)

Hmm. A valid point, but don't you also think that with the legalization of marijuana, you would have to have a production license to sell it? That means, you might find a "mom and pop" store that sells a little more cultured and cared for plants, but it would have to be a big enough operation to be called a business.

...And it's not really the quality of the marijuana, it's more of a convenience thing. Especially if it went straight from being illegal to being mass marketed. There are still a ton of people that don't know alot about weed, they are just buying what they think is good marijuana. Immediately they would think of the last "marijuanaettes" billboard they see. Especially with how much money the big tobacco companies would have for advertisements and what not.

...But I really can't tell you how it would work. I'm just throwing ideas out there. I'm really enjoying this discussion haha.

@planolocal.

Yes if it were legalized I would get a business license and do it that way.
I have quite a few friends that are making a living off legally growing Marijuana, when it is legalized we want to all get together and do a warehouse.
With enough workers spreading the love you will still produce grade A Marijuana without any chemicals.

But your right people who haven't smoked weed before will go to the big companies before the mom and pop weed stores tongue.gif

Either way, I wouldn't mind running a slow small store of selling pot if I could make a living off it and smoke myself. smile.gif

Should marijuana be legalized?Yes
If so why, if not why not? Because you can Tax it....a lot? And because there are no negative side effects as long as you don't go to work fucked up/do a job that requires full use of the brain. Also Vaporizers=no tar...... Um also.....Drug Trade would probably die a little bit because lots of people do weed, not as many people do more than that.... Pot isn't a gateway drug. If you want to do shit worse than Pot, that's your choice, don't ask me to do it with you though because that shit isn't natural.... its chemical and will fuck up your life.
Do you smoke? Yes, 3 times a week or so...
