You'll come, leave, and it'll just stuff up like last time?
We're already in the process of mending ourselves.
Sure I don't doubt you gene, but I'd like you to make a permanent stay, or none at all.

Gene you are making a mistake.

As a friend I have to tell you that you are a highly intelligent person with many successful years ahead of you in life.
Embarking on this task will not help you find those years.
It could indeed save the clan, but in the big scheme of things WG is a Runescape clan and I believe you have matured beyond it.

Embrace your life, don't keep coming back to the safety net known as RS.

Actually, I think this might be a good thing if and when the new "danger pking worlds" are relased. WG will have something to 'protect' once again and this will bring back the original spirit of the clan smile.gif

Nice attitudes. You all should be on your knees thanking Gene for even THINKING about helping out around here after what you did to him. We got some very ungrateful people in this clan.

It's people like Bobster, Mathsnerd, and Chris that this clan could do without...and 2 of the 3 are people of rank. The clan don't need all the negativity that is being shown, especially at this stage of the game.

Boy oh boy, I sure hope Gene knows what he's doing and can right the wrongs here. I have all the faith in the world that he'll do what's right and what he says he's going to do.

WG will be a better place...for everyone, not just the higher ranked members.

I would like for you to find the exact posts that I've said that here. Please Karl, I thought you were smart. Take some time, breathe and search around where I've told anyone to "grow a pair". I believe if memory serves, and I am older so forgive me, but it was a WG member who said that to Owen. Nice try though.

Can't believe you'd say that, personally. WG's a RS clan, but beyond that it's always been a family to all of us throughout the years, especially to older members like you, me, or in this case, Lordy. The family aspect of the clan that we've grown to be a part of is what keeps the clan together and is the reason we still see people like "us" around. It's why that every now and then when we read the guest forums we're pleasantly surprised to see posts made by people that have been gone from either WG, RS, or both for a very long time.

Regardless of how you may feel at this time about WG in general, I highly doubt you'd like to see to see it just disappear.

Lordy, I don't think I've ever been more happy to see you. Welcome back.

Lordy, I don't think I've ever been more happy to see you. Welcome back.

I do not want to see it disappear at all.
I would love for WG to achieve everything it wants.

I just do not like to see the people who I believe have moved on returning, because I did it and it hurt more than it helped, both me and the clan.

WG and RS is a phase in our lives. It is a very fun and meaningful phase, but it is a phase nonetheless that is moved past at a point. That is not to say the friendships are lost, but the necessity to have a role in the clan and to build it are things that are passed on.

Gene has done more than anyone and he has moved on.
If he comes back I think it will be a step back for him personally that as a friend I don't want to see him take.

He is on his way to a successful life as a composer, has substantial world travel experience, and has set himself up for great things.

I don't think that returning to a phase that he has moved past is a way to facilitate those things.

I'm a little anxious about this as well, the last time I left it was largely due to a massive amount of frustration concerning the way Eugene was running things. I love the guy to death, and I never lost my respect for him and what he's managed to accomplish here even when I was literally flaming him - with very noble intentions - but there's some serious differences which I believe still exist and having him come back like this makes me nervous.

Since I've never held an actual position in the WG hierarchy I can't really speak to this with any experience from that perspective. However, there's one thing that for me overwhelms everything else, and that's EXCITEMENT. Something is about to HAPPEN and it's going to be monumental even if it trips coming through the door and impales itself on something innocuous.

It's that interest in the future that's being generated which I think will prove to be the best thing coming from this, and that's why I was willing to offer my unconditional help earlier in the thread, hopefully in a way to closely unite all the active generations of Guardians and live happily ever after for at least a month. We need something to break the norm and shake things up, and this is a great possibility to do exactly that. I think this effort could even succeed by failing completely so it's a bit of a win-win.

PS: I consider myself to be second- or third-generation WG (if you've been around since the beginning you could probably add in a few more though since I didn't join until 2005). Figured I'd throw in a disclaimer there since I don't think anyone else refers to it in any other way besides new school/old school.

PPS: No hard feelings Eugene, just speaking a bit blunt.

PPPS: If Ab's efforts aren't respected throughout this situation I'm going to be seriously pissed off.

Nice. Then stop making preemptive good posts with negative con-nations in implications of how one would run a clan when already handing the reins but sowing the seeds of catastrophe if not run by one by implication of implying - making it public when could have one chosen to be private by goodwill if only the intention is of wisdom and clear conscious.

An indication to me of implication so obvious that it is reflective.

If for not self-relish solely while one thinks that one owns all the rights to make the life and death of an organization such as a clan, of people with feelings - to the least - treat those who had performed from the least to the most - even if without thou - a respect they have with their truest form possible here - they have done. And not chuck people, no matter how credible or incredible one thinks they are in own books (emphasized in "own" books deemed as failed or threat).

When handed in rein, respect that decision. While one may feel entirely owning, one does not own others of who they have given for their role truthfully. To take away that, just because of whims, when the time comes (whether or not the excuse is its needed) - means, the king is playing the pawns, knights, bishops and queen - that is all there is to it, when the likings of reason, crafts to its liking and molded to prove its point. Real but also unreal.

Gratz at both ends with no harm intended but only honesty.

And for the note of not leaving as such, I'm sure with strong realization, I'm sure not leaving would desire more than just a note or the happenings of what's now.

EDIT: Another thing. I don't care who believes in this or not. Only old school to relive community? Outlive or outlaw? Be who you can be - old or new - who cares - just be. Cheers!

Some might say you're rebel, others say your oratative. Either way, you knock sense. If for knocking sense, however disagreeable - some form of nitty gritty is involved.

However, I can't say you haven't been absolutely bold in your statements my friend. More often that not, they are reflective even if disagreeable - and left for debate (you're up for it, that's what counts).

So, no matter - thanks Kiwi, you're a good orator. Understand your concerns...it does not change the respect.

Either way, agree or not agree.
