I personally dislike change 4.

Yes I agree all emeritus should sign up for wars, but suddenly deciding to change the rules and go "Shit people haven't been doing it for ages.... well fuck I'll kick them" just seems wrong to me.

I could understand if you said "For the next X amount of wars I will be watching sign ups, if you don't sign up for X of them you get kicked" but it really seems like a knee jerk reaction to me.

As you know, my RS time is 'incredibly' limited at the moment... and though I do have 'some' idea in advance of when I am able to get on, its normally weekday's (ie. when no war's are held) so I guess I'll be in the constantly signing up as 0% bunch.

Emeritus members may have been lazy for ages, but they did so while taking a risk knowing that the rules could have been enforced any time. Me enforcing them now has little to do with ethics. People will just be pissed that they can no longer evade the activity requirement.

I thought the entire point of Emeritus was for those who are inactive... personally, I don't play Scape anymore and just usually can't show for wars. I think that's pretty harsh. I'd much rather help with recruitment or something along that line.

Also, about the Emeritus thing...they're retired. They keep their rank because of their prior service to WG. They didn't just come and go. They came, they did something, and then had to leave, but didn't want to abandon WG. They show their face on the forums and in the IRC. Why? Because they are inactive on RS. Ex-member is for people who still play but have left WG...Emeritus just lost taste for the game, not the clan that was a major part of it.

+1 to that, sums it up pretty much for me.

If you don't have people who are friendly and nice to whoever joins the lobby or does an intro, the clan will fail even with your wars going on great.

Look at the flame war on RSC. Do you think that will attact many people to the clan? All this about war and stuff like that is going on to erase what good you are doing. One dissatisfied person speaking against the clan will be remembered long time before a happy member is. They will remember the bad longer.

Only one member in WG has my cell number and that is all that ever will. He can text me anything he wants but I wont be giving it to anyone that pranks people or would share my information. He is USA and If he get messages can forward to me. I'll ask him about it.

Thank you Garrett and Dallar.
“The day soldiers stop bringing you their problems
is the day you have stopped leading them.
They have either lost confidence that you can help them
or concluded that you do not care.
Either case is a failure of leadership.”
