Cranberry juice is supposed to be a good detox.. no idea how much but people say it works. Or just dilute your piss by drinking tons of water. Either they'll tell you to re-take the test at a later time (giving you more time to detox) or it'll just straight out pass as clean.

I'd seek advice from someone else though because I am by no means a professional at detoxing.

The side effects are less negative then headache medicines.

Yes
Honestly, what is actually wrong with weed? Its a good drug for relaxing. And its not really a negative thing. Btw don't get Weed mixed up with 'Skunk' And society can function with it being legal, maybe its even better? Amsterdam for example, in my time i haven't heard of any major incidents that have involved weed. Whilst places like America and England have major incidents regardless.
Nah, i am Asthmatic. Food with weed in it is the way forward.

Love your plants hash.png

If it was only up to me, yeah, sure, I'd love that...my current goal is to go live in California.

Of course it'd be so cool entirely legal. Eventually California will liberalize use, but in how long? or it may not at all.

It's undefendable for practical reasons: health, babies, "sending the wrong message", economic cartels, drug cartels, lobbies...

You can assume it'll only be legalized if at the very least of all half of a given area's population... even more since the people who make the laws are majorly against it...

It's supposed to be the case in the US in the next 20-30 years... but from there for it to be entirely legalized...

I think the first problem to solve is answering the question "what will all the dealers do?". I think they'd be the first to be against a full blown legalization, which would cut the market out from under their feet.

I think the best you can expect in the medium term is simply tolerance, with legal & illegal coexisting, but nobody can predict where that'd go.

Sigh.

How old are you? Older than I once was but younger than I will be.
Should marijuana be legalized? For medicinal use.
If so why, if not why not? No, except for medicinal purposes because there are already too many items that cause problems.

Do you smoke? No longer.

the real question is how many of the people against weed have ever smoked it? Then how many people are against it becuase the "right" thing to think is that its bad. IMO

This was bumped to the "View new posts" search even though there hasn't been a recent post on it...I guess someone voted, but I never saw it before so I decided to give my response.

How old are you? Old enough to vote on it, and thats all that matters

I live in a state where it isn't even legal for medical purposes, and we will probably be one of the last states to do that if we ever do. I've also had some pretty severe medical problems. Because of them I was in constant sharp pain, and I couldn't eat and keep anything down. They tried me on lots of different treatments and drugs and none of it worked. I was actually starting to suffer from mal-absorbtion and malnutrition because of it and was going to be hospitalized if I couldn't make a solid change. Then the doctor told me off the record to smoke some and see if it helped. It did. It eased the pain to the point that everything I tried to eat didn't feel like it was tearing a hole through me and I was slowly able to hold down food and my health improved. I really don't know if something hadn't changed things for me when it did if I would have survived because I had tried everything they had told me to and I was at the point where I was giving up. I think it not being approved for medical purposes is honestly criminal when it can do so much good. I'm not the only person who lives in my area that has been told "off the record" by their doctor to try smoking a bit to see if it helped, and so its obvious the medical community here values its use, now I just wish the lawmakers would so that people who would really benefit from it can use it legally. There is a pill here called marinol that is available for some cancer patients and supposedly has the same benefits, but I was on it and it was one of the things that failed to work for me.

Do you smoke? I used to, and I would again, but I dont atm

Not to restart an old debate... but simply answering 'yes' means legalization for public, non-necessarily-medical uses... which involves a whole other dimension to the issue. You mentioned your medical history and suffering, and I could sympathize with you. I just think you may have meant to vote for 'medical uses only', not simply 'yes' -- even if you received advice "off the record"; that doesn't imply an impossibility of expanding qualifications for treatment.

I'm being anal, I know.

CBA to use the template for this. My answer is no. Maybe for medicinal purposes, but not for recreation or "just for laughs". Marijuana is considered a "gateway" drug. In that, if you smoke some and begin to love it, you will start to wonder: "just how high can I go? I want to go higher." After that, you may become hooked onto other drugs, such as cocaine and heroine.

Although marijuana is not physically addicting, it is mentally addicting. You say "well, I don't want to smoke weed right now. I don't need that in my system." Your brain is telling you "I WANT IT! No, I NEED IT! GIVE ME IT!" You become so enthralled by that high, that you generally become addicted in a mental sense.

Believe me, I've had plenty of people tell me that I didn't know shit on the matter. Maybe I do, maybe I don't. But those same people that told me that they weren't addicted to weed, that they didn't let it become their addiction; those are the same people that put marijuana plants on their bodies, write in their journals the date for every pothead to toke up (4/20/XXXX), how they plan to move to Amsterdam to live amongst their fellow potheads.

People like this basically invite 10 year olds to light up a fatty and enjoy. As I've stated, marijuana can be considered a "gateway" to other dangerous drugs. Drugs that no 10 year old should have to submit their bodies and minds to.

I get and respect what you're saying there...but I think calling anything a gateway drug is kinda a bs way of taking the responsibility for making poor decisions away from the idiot making it and placing the blame on a scape goat...in this case a plant. People make their own choices...any idiot who smokes pot and then decides to move on to harder drugs made that decision on their own...and we cant generally accept that the people we love are that stupid so we find something to blame. The pot didnt make them become a crack head...their poor decision making skills did, and that usually comes with them just not knowing how to deal with the stress or cope with the pain in life. Its an excuse people give for behaving badly when they can't man up and take responsibility for what they have done to their lives.

Yup. I know plenty of marijuana smokers who tried maybe once something else (something "harder") but decided, as responsible adults, not to go further. Like most marijuana users, by the way. Barely 1% or to the most 3-4% use cocain, in the Netherlands anywhere in the world, and will even if pot is legalized. The same proportion will always NOT try it, even if pot is legalized. Perhaps an increase in 1% to the utmost worst.

The moral issue is a non-issue: those who decide are all for letting people smoke pot if a majority decides to let them. Even when people are more than 50% in favour, the real issue is going to be the reaction of those who peddle pot at the moment. Will they be responsible for the increase in the presence and consumption of cocain? One thing that is certain is that the mexican cartels and other mafias won't open a dispensary on the high street...

Should marijuana be legalized? medical practice only
If so why, if not why not?i live in a state where it is still illegal completely, now i deffiently agree that if it were made legal it should only be for medicinal purposes only. If it were legalized i think to many people would run wild with it and abuse the privilege. I smoke because i have been in two car totaling car accidents that i was a passenger in since i was 15 i have bad kneck and back problems i also suffer from terrible anxiety and find smoking to ease my body pain and help with my anxiety. I do not see anyway that marijuana can be habit forming or addictive i could easily not smoke for a month cold turkey and not have any side effects. the "war on drugs" is failing miserably and to many people are being locked up for longer then rapists for a plant that is dryed and then smoked not synthesized. America has no control over marijuana and is just wasting the taxpayers money on a senseless attempt to control something that has been going on since the indians were here.
Do you smoke? daily
