I will also actively update this guide as more questions come in etc. Here is his guide: http://www.wildernessguardians.com/forum/i...?showtopic=8078 Thanks to Chimp for pointing this out. It's suggested you read the whole guide to rully understand the PvP trick, or at least the Notes and Questions section if you know the basics. What's this potential I've been hearing about? ------------------------------------------------------ On a PvP world, your drop is picked based on how much "potential" you have. You gain potential by risking at least 75k (people say 76k but it really is 75k) while standing in a hotspot for at least 30 minutes. 30 minutes is the minimum amount you have to stay in order to get the potential you need for good drops. Also know that Jagex counts by the minute according to their clock, so it is suggested you spend at least 2 minutes past the time you want before you get the potential you want. I personally do one hour so I get the 2m drops, but a lot of it has to do with luck. This potential is why you see people by GE and everywhere wind striking each other. They wind strike while risking 76k so no pker will be able to attack them and they can afk without clicking once every 5 minutes. Where should I gain potential? ------------------------------------ There are plenty of semi-safe places to gain potential. If you cannot find a wind strike partner, you can solo it easily. If you feel like skilling, you can go anywhere in the wilderness; for example, the Wilderness Agility Course. If you don't want to skill and want to just sit there and be lazy like me, you can go upstairs a lot of places in hotspots, for example, up the ladder in the Lumberyard east of Varrock. Another spot that is great to afk is inside the room south of the Fancy Clothes shop in Varrock, in the fenced area where you have to open a gate guarded by a guard to get through. You have to wear full priest robes which can be bought at the Fancy Clothes Shop for 5 gp per piece as well as start the quest, Biohazard to enter the room. Here is the spot: ![]() Therefore, pesky pkers have to either know about the spot or do a lot of research to get in. Please don't leak this part of the guide to anyone outside of WG. Please also take off your priest robes when you get inside to not clue pkers about this spot. It's starting to get more popular which is unfortunate. Alright, I got my potential now wheres my drops? --------------------------------------------------------- So after you have your 30 minutes+ potential it's time to kill. It's suggested to do 3 kills per 30 minutes-an hour of potential you do. If you decide you want to go longer than one hour, like 2+, you should try 4 kills. When you are the killer, you risk 76k just like you did when you were gaining potential, except this time you kill a friend that holds 26k in their inventory because that is the minimum amount of cash needed for drops to be generated of value. Though it's not proven, I don't believe losing more than 26k will effect your drop. So all you have to do is kill the person three times, most people alternate kills/deaths. Once you've killed about three times, or you get a really great drop, your potential resets, and you have to start all over again. Note that noted items are not considered as part of the value of items/money required to get drops. Someone's attacking me! What should I do? ---------------------------------------------------- Well, if you bring teleports, tele, duh! If you didn't bring teleports, or they teleblock you, you can drop the cash before you die, then run back to your pile and collect the cash. I managed to run all the way from Ardy to the wildy agility course and make it to my cash. If you were afk or someone dragon clawed you before you could react and drop the cash, it's only 75k, you can make it back in no time. Notes ---------- How to get better drops:
Have the person getting killed bring a familiar pouch with them. This will raise their combat level so instead of having 121+7 for example, they'll be level 128. This helps with better drops. Attacking someone with a "fun weapon" (AKA Flowers) no longer grants potential. DON'T DO IT if you don't want to waste time. The higher combat level both people are, the better items drop. A level 90 will get far less drops than a level 126. You can still do 26k's on F2P, but a lot of times you don't get profit and is hardly worth spending an hour in a hot spot just for 26k's. Questions: How much money do you make? I'm apparently very lucky with 26k's, but personally I gain an average of probably 1m an hour on a average day, yet I hardly ever spend my whole day in RS doing 26k's. What's the best drops in PvP? I'm almost positive that godswords don't drop in PvP. The most expensive drop in PvP to my knowledge is the Dragonfire Shield. What's your best drop doing 26k's? http://img209.imageshack.us/img209/5914/090216171316ru7.png so far, I usually get constant 1m+ drops, but not any DFS, DFH drops. Would you consider 26k'ing to be the best money maker available? It's definitely not the most reliable way to make money, but from the luck I had elsewhere, I'd say it can be one of the best ways with some luck. This really shines when you have brawling gloves or have some place you can powerlevel in the Wilderness. Do I lose my potential if I die? No, in fact you gain a small amount of potential from dieing if you lose an adequate unknown amount. I'm guessing 76k or 26k. Do I lose my potential if I run to a safe spot? No, your potential saves when you enter a safe spot. For example, you could spend 20 minutes in a hot spot one day, run to a safe spot and log till the next day for 10 minutes and have the same chance of getting a good drop as if you spent all 30 minutes in the hotspot without leaving. The only exception is constantly leaving and entering from a hotspot to a safespot will make your potential drop by a little. I'm guessing it's multiple times in one minute, so no worries about banking logs, etc. I had 30 minutes or more potential stacked up and I still got junk, did I do something wrong? It all depends on what you consider junk. If you got items such as any freminik helm, skeletal, rockshell, or spiked helm, combat bracelet, rune bolts, rune armor, or glory then you just got unlucky. If your drop contained things like anything iron-adamant, lobsters, regular anti-poison/restore potions, things that are worth less than 26k, chances are you did something wrong. Make sure you spent at least 30 minutes in a hotspot (preferably something like 32 minutes, to be safe), was risking 76k when gaining potential and killing your partner, gained potential in a hotspot, and your partner carried 26k (not 25k, if he saves 3 coins from having no skull, you won't get the drop). If all those things were done and you still got real junk, then you probably were just unlucky, try spending an hour in a hotspot. Does my partner or I get better drops if either of us are skulled? From my experience, no, you do not get better drops from being skulled. There's plenty logic behind my assumption. Some non skullers risk more than the skulled. As long as the killer risks 76k and the person that dies risks 26k it shouldn't matter if they are skulled or not. Is there any clan chats that specialize in getting PvP trick partners? Yes, the clan chat "Item Farming" is available for people looking for partners to windstrike and do 26k's. Use at your own risk, some people try to scam another person out of their 78k by going first and not letting the other person kill them after. Also a lot of times filled with low levels, but I find partners fairly easily on a semi-reasonable time. Just say in chat your combat level, the combat level you want your partner to be, and if you want to windstrike or 26k and you will eventually get a response. I have been alching few hours in hot zone and when i was going to kill someone a random event took my away and the drop was just a junk. -> Can you boost your potencial befor a pkri for example to get a better loot ? Or its useless because if you left a pvp zone it will drop to null ? -------------------- ![]()

Your potential saves when you leave to go to a safe spot. So for example, you could spend 10 minutes one week in a hot spot and then 20 2 years later for a total of 30 minutes will get you the same drop as spending 30 minutes in a hot spot without leaving. The only exception is you lose a small amount of potential for constantly entering and leaving a safe spot, but I'm guessing that's multiple times in a minute or less. So yes, you can build potential before a pkri or raid if you'd like. Thanks for the question, I'll add it to the guide when I have time. -------------------- Dragon Claws Drops: 1 2 Dragonic Visage Drops: 1 Ruined Dragon Drops: 1 Abyssal Whip Drops: 1 2

But on their clock, and not yours. So you go out in a hot spot at their 1:30:02, it won't count what you think as a whole minute. Their time is why they changed the collecting sand from Bert to slightly less than 24 hrs. Too many people would have to keep going a little later each day. --------------------
