Am I the only one who didn't know wearing a sacred clay helm doubles your combat experience? Would have been nice to know six levels ago... wub.gif

They say sacred clay helmets give you double exp. Did you know that?

Any of the sacred clay armor pieces gives 2x the experience; I like the helmet though since then I can still wear most of the rest of my regular armor. Also, I did some calculations.

You get about 19K extra experience using a sacred clay helm before it's out of charges (that's in addition to your usual experience; total you'll gain about 38K). Spending 20 minutes to get a helm translates to 950xp gained per minute you spend in Stealing Creation, or 57K an hour.

Whether or not this is useful to you depends on how much experience you get an hour without sacred clay. If you get more than 57K experience an hour, you'll be losing time. If you average less, you'll be gaining. Cheers!

50k combat exp that is doubled so it would be 25k normal exp thats doubled to 50k exp.

I've seen another set of calculations that said that ALL the SC items have the same exp:degradation ratio.

And after everything it was determined that each SC item provides 16K exp (So for every 16K exp you get normally, it'll double that, but also be at 0%). So for a full set (Helm, Weapon, Plate and Legs) you're getting ~64K exp. Now, assume you have a set already and are getting 20 points a game. You'd have to play 4 games to recharge the entire set (getting another "free" 64K exp). That's 80 minutes - for 64K exp.

I heard there was an estimate of if you get >60K exp/hr the SC armor isn't worth it for regular use. Anything less than that, it's good for you.

I'd recommend using it as PvP gear OR when you're close to a level. I used mine when I was 90K form 99 Attack and got the level quickly.

zombies are around 60k an hour so it probably doesn't make much difference

I noted my strength experience at 100% and 0% and it came out to 17,404 extra experience using a helm. Close but I'm pretty sure it's closer to 17.4K than 16K. smile.gif This'd come out to > 52.2K an hour.

I'd use the legs cause most people dont have tassets
It helped so much hash.png

You can also reuse in p2p pvp but changing it to the style you want when its 1% left.

Recharging it is cheaper then buying another one though.
