The longest-ever recorded and confirmed sniper kill was made by PPCLI Corporal Rob Furlong of the Canadian Forces in Afghanistan during Operation Anaconda in 2002. Using a .50-caliber (12.over 9000 mm) McMillan TAC-50 rifle, Furlong shot and killed an opposing combatant soldier from a distance of 2,430 metres (1.5 miles)

Good thing I'm 1.6 miles aw-

*Hands Randy a towel and a straight jacket*

That is a very nice shot though. Back in one of the DF2 clans I lead, there was a Canadian military officer in it who was a sniper. He was a very good sniper in the game for us as well. He went off to Afghanistan a few months after joining us. I do believe the Canadians train on the British sniper course as well. They do some pretty amazing stuff there.
