I knew a guy back in RSC that 'married' some chick over runescape. They were totally serious about it too, it was freaking insane. Later she dumped him for another guy and he threatened to kill himself. Turns out the guy and girl were the same person IRL anyway so he decided not to.

No, the "guy" that the girl left for was the same person, so the guy who got married decided not to kill himself over it.

No the guy and the girl getting married were the same person. He apparently staged the entire thing to get free stuff lol. He was like "OMG she dumpd me can I haz free r00n or I kill myself kthxbai?!?!!!" and then we found out the girl was just his other account, so he felt stupid.
