Fate/Stay Night is basically an Erotic Visual Novel. I first watched the Anime adaption of it and because I wanted to know more I decided to play the Visual Novel. It was a good decision on my part. Archer made me cry manly tears, Rin was a great Tsundere, the Loli was provided by Ilya and Sakura was evil. The Normal Ending of Heavens Feel turned me emo for a day. However what truely made this Visual Novel awesome was. The Sex Scenes. No really, I first decided that I would just skip through the Sex Scenes so that I could continue with the story faster however, the Sex scenes absolutely made the game. Containing such creative lines as: "Our meats make a soppy sound", "It feels so great I'm going to vomit.", "Like a diving suit that's too small.", "J- ... JAM IT IN!!!" and not to forget "Like a carnivorous plant devouring its prey." Below are 3 Cgs and a made up comic to describe the game's main lead character:  In this one he forgot he had sex:   ^^This is an edited game text log done by the creators of the translation patch. It's a parody on an old Cyber sex convo that used to go around on the internet^.  ... Yes the main character really is that dense. However, the story was still an epic one. Hmmh that's a mistake that a lot of people make. The first two episodes are just explanation of the Holy Grail War and I actually dropped the anime after watching the first episode when I first wanted to watch it. However I pressed on the next time and the anime really started to pick up its pace after the first two episodes. First it slowly picks up and in the end I loved it. Ofcourse that's just me and I'm not sure on what your taste is like. Since you prefer Manga from what I see maybe you should try to pick up the Manga (although this follows a different route than the anime does) The post is actually not completely sarcastic. Because after reading even one of the sex scenes in the VN you really start to appreciate the writer his writing style for the whole plot. Basically, contrary to most eroges it's not sex with a plot but it's plot with sex as a plot device. Shirou, however, really is dense. -------------------- | ||

So, Instantly thinking "Omg that Tsundere looks cute" I decided to add it to my Plan To Watch list LOL. Haven't got round to it. Been to busy revising. Really have no idea about the Visual Light novels? You play this on a console? And how do you play this? What makes it fun# ~Abs P.S. Yes, I really had some doubts about whether I should post that 3rd picture or not, considering it was listed among the other sex scene CGS. However, it is not a nude picture or hentai (borderline though ...) and you might as well claim that it is much the same as posting a girl in a bikini. You seem to have messed two terms up though: Light Novels are books (hence: Novel) which are writen in a very simplistic manner and rather heavy on dialogue making them easy to read. They also have an illustration every couple of pages. Visual novels are 'games'. Well you can hardly call them games because all you do is sit back and read a lot. It exists of a bland CG background (take the second picture hallway for example) which have character images pasted on them that change around every now and then from that character blushing or a new character entering while everything is described on a black semi-transparent screen. In essence a VN is basically a book that you're reading that has music and SFXs accompanying it and a background image. Ofcourse instead of a simple BG image with character images pasted on it, it can change into a CG image with the character in it like done in the 3rd screenshot that I've shown. The game aspect of the VN is that you can make choices during the story that will affect the outcome of the game. Leading you into either a True end, Normal end, Bad end or a Dead end (in which the lead character dies way too early) Also the VNs usually have different routes which are actually just a different retelling of the story each time. However VNs are a large waste of time and completely uninteresting if you don't enjoy the story or if the sex scenes are bad (depending on which reason you play it for. Although I believe not all of the VNs have sex scenes the majority of them do.). In that sense the anime is a really nice way to determine whether you would like it or not. (bearing in mind that the anime is based on the worst of the 3 routes of the VN) --- Ofcourse I'm just rambling, but I guess you should have learned something from this xD -------------------- | ||
