They basically do rock performances of his more notable works. He wrote the soundtracks to the final fantasy games, which is where most of you will have heard some of his music. I figured I should bring attention to this song in particular, it's fucking amazing. First we get the piano opening of "To Zanarkand" and for the first minute and a half it seems like the whole piece will be a solo piano ensemble, but then it erupts into a rock piece. Then out of nowhere, "Mr. Goo", this complete and utter no-namer who's job is to translate video games from Japanese into English opens his mouth. His voice is amazing. You wouldn't expect it to go with such a song but it does. The live recording doesn't sound as good as the CD. But have a listen. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=86aGDavDloM Another of my favorites. OWA is his most well known piece. I like it better as an orchestral work though.. this one by the prague sypmphony orchestra is amazing. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Yn71hIsm0U8...re=channel_page The FFVII Piano collections is pretty good, at one point I was actually working on arranging the whole FFVII soundtrack for solo piano and/or violin. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Wc8t6TZvL0c...ex=0&playnext=1 Personally, I love JENOVA. Rock, solo piano and orchestral versions. That's not to say all his works aren't fantastic.
