If I missed anyone on attendance please post.

We started our meeting by going over some highlights from the June 21 meeting.

Then we went into our new agenda.

1.Recruiting

We discussed how recruiting in the game does not work well. Most of the people are either to lazy to try to find us, scared of viruses, or think we are breaking rules. You need to be careful in how you word your invite in the game. (Best to tell them the name and suggest they use a search engine without naming what one to use.)

We had a suggestion to maybe hold a few public events that are well planned ahead of time to use as a recruiting tool. We plan on further discussing this next meeting. Only suggestions were something like our anniversary events or fishing twaler.

We talked about getting people in to irc and then pm someone that is good at helping them. It is not like you are all alone in recruiting. We have to work as a team. Don't worry about knowing them so well that you don't feel comfortable recruiting. You will not be held accountable for recruiting someone that doesn't work out.

2.Forum Activity

We discussed how our forum is pretty active by the same 20 people that post most of the time. Our ML is not as active on the forum as we would like to see. (I think I might hold another challenge for members to get this up some.)

3.Member List

In the past, WG has had problems with risking pixels. Sometimes it has been noted to make some people appear to be lazy. However, this trend seems to be coming to an end now. We have more members willing to risk pixels for their clan. Big improvement from the past. Keep on raiding and it will pay off in the end.

4.Lobby Kept Active

This is key to helping us in recruiting new members. Remember that even though someone has hung out in our lobby for a month, they may still be deciding whether to join WG or not. Be friendly and helpful.

5.Time Zones

We discussed the World Clock again. It may just lag the forum down. A suggestion is putting the time zones in the code area that we use to do our events from. May be helpful for those members that are trying to plan events.

6.Mandatory Non-PVP Events

In our discussion of this, we thought that skill wars, anniversary events, and major recruiting events should be mandatory to attend if on line.

7.Hype for the Clan

Lee volunteered to do some hype on the forum for our raids. He will be spamming in IRC and on the forum. We should be seeing some signatures and things. This should be fun and catch on fast. Lee will be getting a helper of his choice so if you are interested drop him a pm.

8.Use TS and His Lordship CC more . . .

It seems that this is just an oversight for most people. The plan is to remind each other in irc and in game. We thought it would be fun to just hang out more on TS and talk to each other. Everyone can help with this.

9.DK Flaming WG

We discussed how in the game we sometimes take some abuse. The WG rule is that we do not flame back. This can damage WG's reputation as a clan. (I suggest you screenie it in the future and give it to council.)

Thanks to everyone that could make the TS meeting. Your input is very important.

I agree with the above statements.

I'm trying to vary the time a little to have it available to different time zones and stuff.

I will try to make sure the recaps are good so you can get what is talked about too.
