First off, answer me this: What IS the downloadable "RS Client" featured on runescape.com? Well, all it is is simply a window with an Internet Explorer frame inside of it. Nothing special; It is basically like a blank IE window without the tabs and buttons.

How does this apply to Firefox? Well, I will show you a simple trick that will give you a Runescape window, -just- like the official one, straight from a bookmark! And, this will work in both Firefox, and IE. It will probably work in other browsers also!

Here is what you do:
One, create a new bookmark. When you get to a place where you can add/edit the "location", or URL to it, you need to put this code in that spot:

javascript:%20window.open('http://www.runescape.com/game.ws?m=1&j=1','RuneScape','top=400,left=400,width=1025,height=678,status=no,scrollbars=no,resizable=yes,menubar=no,toolbar=no,directories=no');

Name it whatever you wish, and save it.
When you click the link, you should have a window pop up, with nothing but the URL bar(This is a browser setting; you can make it so that this code will remove that too if you really need it).

There you go. I hope you like it!

Note: In case you are wondering, I cannot post a working, clickable example in this post(or on our forums, website), due to modern browser security rules. Nothing I can do about that.

If you are annoyed by that bar at the top taking up space, heres an alternate code:

I just made a "window" inside that, pushed up so you can't see the silver bar there.
It will "work" with F2P, but will only partially block the ad and look horrible in the process. I suggest AdBlockPlus for blocking the ads if you are so inclined.

works for the moment if sk is bugging out with irc and such, or if sk happens to go corrupt on your ass.

it also worked at my school. i used something similiar only without removing the silver bar lol. i dun remember where i got the source from tho
