I'm not sure how many other fans of Alice in Chains there are, but I'm a huge fan, so I was psyched to hear that they're close to finishing their latest album, entitled "Black Gives Way to Blue."

A Looking in View
^ So far, thats the first single I've found, and the pre-order on iTunes should be coming soon. I think I heard sometime next week. I used to rag on Duvall since he's not Layne (The dead lead singer), but so far, he's looking pretty good as a replacement.

[Edit]
Check my Brain
^ Newest song off their latest album. It hit number 26 on the Billboard top 100 rock songs when it debuted. I'm just glad to see my favorite band back up and at them in the music industry. It gives me hope for the future of the industry, especially with Pearl Jam releasing something soon too! The Alice in Chains album drops the 29th of September in the States and I'm not sure about the rest of the world, but its the 29th in the States. I already have it set on my calendar, lmao...

Acid Bubble
^ The best audio version I could find of their other new single off the album, and its live, so try to bear through it. Once I can find a studio version, I'll edit it in here instead of this live version...[/Edit]

Any other AiC fans out there? Am I the only one thats gonna be psyched about this, or did I just make this thread for post count? unsure.gif

Thank you Garrett and Dallar.

They have either lost confidence that you can help them
or concluded that you do not care.
Either case is a failure of leadership.”

I listened to AiC back in the day, but the only grunge I have on my iPod (in other words, still listen to) is Pearl Jam and Nirvana. But I still like Pearl Jam; I think their self-titled album in 2006 was good and probably my fav.

Good starting points for me were both the Unplugged album and Jar of Flies. Both are a bit soft though, and I don't know your musical tastes... Beyond those two, Facelift and Dirt are both heavy, so that might be a good place to start if you want heavy stuff.

I love all three of them, and Pearl Jam is amazing. I like Ten more than their self-titled, but the self titled is also a good album. I just don't like the few songs where it seems like they ran out of ideas, so they just reprised Life Wasted. Hopefully I'll be able to see them live at ACL this year. neko2.gif

Would you hate me if I said Pearl Jam is coming to New Zealand and I have tickets? dface-ani.gif

Bumped for an edit on the first post. 2 new songs in the original post... Now if I can get tickets to see them next time they come to town or something, it'd be epic.

Also added a release date for the new album in the States, so get your $15 dollars ready, grunge is making a comeback! (I hope, Lol... By the way, sorry for a somewhat old bump, but I didn't think 5 days was going to be that bad for a topic bump...)
