IMO it's an amazing movie, special effects are 100% top-notch (on par with Transformers) and the story is very well balanced between being cool, and on the other hand giving a pretty dismal critique of human nature. So yeah, I thought it was awesome.  Anyone else seen it yet?http://www.d-9.com/ PS: I need to remember not go to a R-rated movie right after shaving or I get carded. --------------------  | ||

It's R-16 in New Zealand lol I went and saw this on release night and it was pretty epic, though I did think the ending was a bit weak. No need to spoil it for people. The movie is actually done by Peter Jackson & the guy he was going to team up with to do the Halo movie, so obviously they both have allot of experince in special effects. I think the best thing about it was it had enough action to keep me excited while keeping a fairly interesting reflection on 'racism' (in a round-about way) as well as discrimination. I'd definitely reccomend see'ing it at the theatres if you can. I dunno if the R-Rating is deserved, it has a fair bit of offensive lang. and a bit of gore.... but nothing extreme  --------------------  Old awards wat Most Mature & Most Honourable Most Dedicated|IRC Freak|Best Emeritus Placeholder lolz | ||

Effects definitely are good. It got highly acclaimed for some of its underlying themes, but they're actually very minimal and the story focuses on its main character who is kinda hard to care about. I brought my girlfriend and she's not much for action/sci-fi films and she even said in these exact words "Now that's the kind of movie I would buy". It was great I say it's 9.5/10.
