Well yesterday after 2 days of my cat not eating food my mom took her to the vet and she stayed over night to do blood work and other stuff. The results came back today and the vet said everything is elevated and her kidney's were failing.

She asked if we wanted to put her down and we agreed. She was to good of a cat to be in pain. All 3 plus me of my family members arrived and I wrapped her in a blue blanket and she died in my arms with a nice peacful look in her face. Ugh that was hard to write.

The freakin vet in my city makes you hold your animal down while they inject it, you bring your own box, take it home, and then pay them $200.

Also, I'm sorry about your cat sad.gif

It was $934.00 here. Our insurance covered it all.

It wasn't a violent or anything, they had a tube in her leg and just put it in that and she went to sleep 1393.gif(

I can relate to the pain of my cat being very old. He is now almost 19 and I worry over him all the time. He doesn't hear or see as well as he used to.

Sorry for your loss. I'm sure your memories will live on a long time.

Sorry bro.

And that looks just like two of our old cate (they were brother and sister). They both lived to be 20+ years old though. The girl I think was the last one to die...she was almost 22 and senile and didn't do much..

Sorry bro, loosing a pet is really harsh, like really harsh.....

when i was 13 or so I found my 18 yr old cat dead asleep in a tent i had set up for me to play around in the basement of my house, he was stiff and it was horrible.....

my second cat died at age 1ish when i was around 16. I was playing with the cat outside w/ my mom and the coyote knocked over my mom to get to the cat.....i saw it happen with my own eyes, it was horrible....

Sorry to hear that. You did make the right choice. All of us will die one day, to die peacefully and as if into a quiet sleep. Best way to go.

I'm sorry for your loss. I've had a few pets put down around me (none of mine but friends') and it's a rough time to go through, but I agree with Veph. Best way to go ^

R.I.P. Lil Kitty

Sory to hear that, man. We had a Boxer when i was younger, i named him Rocky. smile.gif He lived to be abou 4, he hurt his back and was paralyzed (sp) from about halfway down. My folks had him put down, cause for an outside dog, i's jsut no way to live. I owe that dog alot. He saved my ferret from another dog twice (they were friends), he save my sister's cat from another dog, and if not for him, I never woulda met Brittany, my first "girlfriend" who will now very soon be my fiance. I never got to say goodbye...
