On September 26, 2009, at about midnight EST I got a new cousin. My cousin and his wife were due to have it in a week or so, but they wanted to get it out earlier so I found out late last night they were doing the c-section thingy now. My mom called my cousin and we could hear the baby crying in the background, and after we got off the phone he sent us a picture of him. His name is Cameron James Moyer, and in a few weeks I get to go to see him n stuff. He was about 7 lbs 6 ounces and 20 inches long (my family is very well endowed tyvm), and though they needed to get him out early because of some problems, he is fine now and they don't seem to be any foreseeable complications so he's a nice healthy baby. woeh.gif

Correct me if I'm wrong but doesn't that make him your nephew? blink.gif

A nephew is your sibling's children. So for instance when my brother or sister has a child, that child will be my niece/nephew.

Technically, the cousin of mine just born is my first cousin. Normal cousins are of course your parent's sibling's children. First, second, third, etc cousins are the children of your cousins. Cousins removed (once-removed, twice-removed, etc) are cousins that you are not related to in your immediate family. For instance, my mom remarried and my step-dad's siblings have kids so those kids are my cousins once-removed. It's confusing...I know.

You should post a pic of you holding him. Clean babies smell so good. Enjoy the lil guy.

Thank you Garrett and Dallar.
“The day soldiers stop bringing you their problems
is the day you have stopped leading them.
They have either lost confidence that you can help them
or concluded that you do not care.
Either case is a failure of leadership.”
