 Holy crap. Getting into the USMC sucks.

Day one - I get up at 6 AM, wait for my Marine recruiter to get me. He gets me at 7:30, and we go up to the RSS(recruiting sub-station). I'm sitting up there for a while, filling out shitty paperwork and stuff. Calling my parents, collecting more information. Highlight of sitting at the RSS - Some smartass Sgt decides to tell me to take a piss test - Drink shitloads of water. He tells me to down water until I need to go. I inhale like, two quarts of water in about 3 minutes. I go outside after that, and throw up a quart of it.

Lesson learned - Piss in the piss cup, not the toilet.


Day one continued - We left Panama City RSS headed for Montgomery, Alabama(currently here at a hotel writing this), and we're flying down the highway and backroads at 80-100 MPH. Two recruiters. 5 poolees. Governement vehicles. ????
PROFIT

Day one later continued - I get into Montgomery. My recruiter's uncle died of a heart attack then. He lost all his spark; felt really bad for the guy. Get to MEPS, and then I take the ASVAB. Never taken it before, never read any study books - I score a 74. Not bad.

Day one that night - Get to this 6 story hotel. Free dinner, free lodging, watching Kimbo Slice get squished by Roy on UFC. (wasn't a real fight anyway, any fat man can do that)

Went to sleep.

Day two - 4:00 AM
WAKE THE FUCK UP YOU HAVE 30 MINUTES
Yeah. 30 minutes to get ready and eat.
Take the bus to MEPS again, and then I'm doing all this testing shit. Throughout the day, hearing, visual, blood, urine, physical(FUUUUUUUU SOME OLD DUDE TOUCHED MY NONOS), and shit like that.

Day two later - Talking to two Marines at MEPS, I realize my medical forms weren't annotated, so I'm stuck doing another day of it so I can be sworn in.

Day two night- Back at the hotel.
Here I am.

Morning - wake up, usual hotel routine.
Get to MEPS, I get thrown around the building for two hours because nobody knows what to do with me except one person. I get told to go sit somewhere.

From about 8 AM to 2 PM, I'm talking to people, watching TV, playing pool. Not bad.

After that, all my paperwork is done, I go into some weird room, and I get sworn into the USMC.

Shipping out August 16th, 2010.

Graduate from school June 2nd, and I have the summer free. So I'm happy with my date.
