What I suggest is borrowing a SS for an hr and testing the exp/h. then borrow a DFS for an hr and test the exp/h. See which is better. I would think a D scimmy + DFS is faster because the weapon is faster and DFS also gives you more damage (from its special). DFS isn't lendable  I normally prefer Defender over DFS anyway as it provides significant Attack bonuses versus DFS' defence bonuses. Well I would think a Scimmy + Defender (Not DFS!) would be best. Since most people use the SS special (only 1 or 2 per special bar - I don't have one so I forget  ) they don't bother with the DDS. Since you have a one handed weapon, you can use the DDS for more hits. Compared with the SS special which is a combined 4 hits, the DDS is a combined 8 hits!Also, you could buy/borrow Dragon Claws.
