Caught vephyrus + stokenut duo'ing corp while the raid was on tonight.
Quite terrible coming from 2 'leaders' of the clan.
This is the 2nd time vephyrus has skipped a raid to corp.
When is it going to stop?

Note that they both had knowledge of the raid too.
[9:15:59 PM] Stokenut entered channel.
[9:16:20 PM] Stokenut left channel.
<Zemus> pvp room^, about 30mins after it started

<Vephy[DuoCorp]> sknzor for corp
<Vephy[DuoCorp]> good team world 97
<Zemus> were raiding
<Zemus> #wgwilderness

If I didn't care about my clan I would've spent the 4 hrs gathering MA pts to get my rings imbued. Of course, when somebody told me raid, I jumped at the opportunity, and went to help my clan.

Sure its not mandatory, but shouldn't "leaders" show up to clan events to rally support + actually make the clan worth being in?
Don't forget to mention, setting a good example.

They were also both in vephyrus clan chat.
Which was locked + only high ranks could get in.
Hence why this is on rachel's account.

Note: Ran from edge after last bit of fighting + took screenshots.
During the whole raid, vephyrus + stokenut were both on irc chat, not idle.

Discuss.

Not mandatory given my knowledge. Never was informed it was mandatory. Would have gone otherwise. Don't show up and start preaching to me.

(11:40:01) <Stokenut> I'll come in future but as far as I'm concerned, if a random raid leader wants to PK he can't just expect to call a raid because he feels like it and expect everyone to drop what they're doing.

(11:53:42) <Stokenut> It's 11:53am for me and I haven't slept
(11:53:56) <Stokenut> Me and vephy have been corping for 8 hours straight and were trying to reach our kill goal before going to sleep

(11:57:01) <%Fbi3255> it wasnt a mandatory raid

But I do accept it was a bad example to set.

On the morning of an official war can one really host a low-prep P2P raid and call it mandatory?

If the raid leader, ie the host of the event/raid doesn't wish to take further action then we shan't.
I have reversed Tweek's 20% warn + suspension with my apologies to him.
But yes we do need to clarify what a mandatory event is...

A low-prep event should not be mandatory, unless it is an official war against another clan which requires the full support of everyone available. I say that much.

Whether it was mandatory or not as staff you are held to a higher level of expectations. In the end this only hurts yourselves, every time this happens I and I'm sure other people lose respect for you. After awhile nobody has any respect left for you but you have a 2.1B bank. Your choice.

Can't expect everyone to drop what they're doing for a spur of the moment thing. People make commitments to other things. Lets say you spent half an hour getting KC for duo arma with a good friend, and then you had to drop out because someone made a spur of the moment thing.

Not blaming anyone, but spur of the moment raids arent even nearly as efficient as planned.

If its a short-prep thing, then its completely up to people whether they want to go or not. It does look pretty bad when leaders skip them, but they have little free time as it is, they are entitled to some.

However, the disgraceful thing is a member in the same situation getting a warning. I'm glad that's been reversed, because personally i would show extremely strong objection to that.

I think its also important not to call ourselves a hardcore PKing clan when stuff like this happens. Its been an issue for years.
