I was coming home from college for spring break and I was going around 65 in the 55 on a road with no traffic on it (rural Virginia) and there happened to be a state officer going the other direction who clocked me in at going 68.

o the temptations of speeding

102mph in a 65 =(

was racing in my ex-gf's evo and got caught by a cop on a dead side street. He gave me a warning b/c I was honest....then gave me a ticket for an exhaust, the car being lowered and....something else.

I've been pulled over 2 times, each going 50 or so in 35's.

I got warnings, for god knows why, but I am extremely thankful.

Sweet, I have been driving with a license for 3 years and no tickets, accidents, or anything so far. I bet my first is going to be something like what you got, since the main road where I live is 55mph and I always, always try to go 63 (they won't pull you over) but every now and then I may accidently go past 65.

twiz, you live in boulder right? arent the roads patrolled with camera's that send you a ticket to you in the mail if your going +x over the speed limit?

idk thats what I heard. It would suck if that was true.

Nah I live south of Denver, in Parker. And it's where cops park in full view of the roads, in an effort to scare drivers in slowing down than actually catching them speeding, by hiding or something. They also warn everyone way more than they need to. Probably the nicest cops in the state.

I dunno, depends on the situation....

I've got up to well over 150km/h at times when I have had to do a risky overtaking maneuver or am driving a vehicle I'm not used to.

Admittedly I did intend to go that fast, and I knew I was going that speed at the time hashdown.gif.png

Nah, usually they don't actually drive any faster than 30mph. Jenny is just uber-epic.

@Kiwi - I really don't know. I do know it's a 2.5L with 250bhp, so at some point I am taking it to Germany. I just love the motorways there, I went in the summer of 2006 when my dad went for a business trip - we got out of a rest stop and onto the motorway at 160km/h and STILL accelerating laugh.gif

try street racing a 69 camero w/ nos. My best friends dad has one and he took me and his son to the track....talk about a 9.7 1/4 mile....ZOMG it made the adrenaline pump like no other.....and managed to scare the shit outa me.

Maybe when I go to pinks@bandamere this summer ill vid some of the races for ya guys. Last year some cars were doing low 9's.....also for those who don't know....after about 12 second 1/4 miles 0.1 seconds ahead of someone is like 7+ car lengths or some shit like that=huge difference.
