How long til clans become permanent in-game structures? We already have clan-chat, when will the actual memberlist be incorporated into that? How long til runescape goes back to having classes? Waaaay back in the day you could start as a mage or a ranger or a warrior, anyone remember that? How long til we get customizable skill-trees that make them unique from other players? How long til we get armor and weapon enchantments? How long til we get professions? Seriously, runescape now has dungeons and party mode to go along with clan wars and clan chat, so how long until runescape becomes WoW 2.0? If RS ever gets into character classes, which I suspect they will eventually, I think it'll be through role prioritization rather than anything permanently restrictive. To evolve you have to always make updates, and there's only a few things left in the world of mmorpg's that are new and innovative. I myself am liking the new updates, not for the fact that it may make or break the fanbase, but the fact that they're trying to keep up with the rest of the internet atleast. You don't see everyone driving around in their 77' HK monaro, they might drive in it on a sunday, but during the week they'll be driving around in their brand new clubsport. (This might seem confusing to people who aren't australian... i think :S). The point is changes always have to be to keep up with the modern style to reap the benefits, they will only fall back if they keep with their old dusty system. Bad example but whatever haha. The reality is that for WoW classes.
