      IRC Nickname: Sgtswordfish Group: Guest Posts: 1737 Member No.: 1758 Joined: March 9, 2009 Total Events Attended: 64    | according to george, this might come in handy just in case you're wondering why i won't be around much unless i'm called upon. let's see, friend calls me this morning and asks me to do the 2009 version of the compTIA A+ certification before jan 1st 2011. why? because afterwards everyone with the same certification has to pay a fee or resit to retake the test every 3 years. the A+ certification essentially is a lifetime certification but it appears that it won't be for much longer. with that said, i'm going to get my current 2006 revamp to 2009 and thus carry on my technical skills on the field with a flashy lifetime certification that really dosen't mean much. =D the time period is going to be 3-6 months (will take the first exam within 3 months and the second 3 months afterwards). the test by itself is intensive as it deals with knowledge from an "on-field" technitian. i mostly do things as a hobby so i'll need to shove some knowledge and apply it in real life terms. i won't be inactive much, i mean. 24-7 access to irc, 1 hour of rs gameplay a day, i'm working everyday. making real life money as well as rs gp while on my sleep. i just really need this certification for life. =D p.s. i need to coordinate with a few people on their merchanting goals as some lessons take up time. godspeed! --------------------  Goals 2011  |
