I heard it is a pretty cool game and I just found it for free. And this is legitimate.

http://store.steampowered.com/freeportal/

Why not get it? It is a $10 value, for absolutely nothing.

Played around on it a little bit.

It is a game by Valve that came extra with the Half Life 2 Box Set or whatever.

It seems to be one gigantic puzzle game where you try to continue through the different doors and levels. If you like intriguing your mind, try it!

It's an awesome game. It's not to difficult.

Like Nick said, it's a series of puzzles. The concept is a little difficult for some to grasp initially, but once you have your eureka moment, things get a lot easier as you're finally able to understand what you can do.

This was a promotional deal when Steam for Mac was released (on the 12th) and Portal will be free for anyone until May 24th.

Definitely worth picking up. I replayed it today with the free Steam download, and the consistent mocking throughout the game is still fun to listen to.

Awesome game, I still need to find a few of the radios though, some of them are a pain.

For anybody else that tried Portal is downloaded Steam to buy it, I would highly suggest trying out Half-Life. Half-Life is probably about $5 on Steam, and is probably better than some fps that came out after it. The Half-Life series is easily my favorite game series along with Assassin's Creed and Saints Row.

Valve said they're releasing a new batch of games for the Mac each Wednesday...I'm seriously hoping that next Wednesday means CS:S...I'd buy that in a heartbeat.

Has anyone looked at the Torchlight game? It seems like it would be interesting enough to hold my interest while I patiently wait on D3 to come out.

Torchlight isn't bad, it's missing that atmospheric feel that D2 has, and it isn't quite as indepth and the quests are all pretty repetitive. I got it for £2.50 during the Christmas sale and i'm not sure it's worth more than that

Mind you, Diablo II is probably my favourite game of all time and so i'm not entirely sure I can compare the two fairly.

Also CS:S is a distinct possibility, if you noticed, they are currently releasing it with the new engine (but it doesn't quite work, for those of you who have played TF2, try imagine the TF2 physics in the CS:S world... it doesn't really work.

So I beat this game yesterday... after killing the boss I was thinking to myself "Finally, I'm done with the 'tutorial' part and I get to go on to the real game!"... I was so pissed when I found out that was the real game. Probably about 3 hours to finish, but it was a reaaaaaaallly fun game, superb gameplay IMO.
