I know it's spelled with an a instead of an e. This is deliberate.
The last 2 weeks of my Btec in Collage are starting today.
I am several assignments overdue, and plan on blitzing them.
I will need to distance myself from WG, as it is my main distraction.
The exceptions will be for events which I am required to attend (Raids/Wars)

This will not hinder my abilities in any way if they are required.
I should be able to get it all done before the Council voting ends on Friday.
If I don't get Council, then I shall get my assignments done and return to activity asap.
If I do get Council, I may as well delete this topic.
WG will become instantly my first priority. I am not staying on the collage course anyway.

I'd personally go for option B, the main reason being that I feel it'd give you more potential for getting a Job. You say that the diploma is the equivalent of A-Levels in a qualification sense, but it appears that that qualification is focused at one particular field (Music) which will limit your options when you're done. It's important not to forget that music is your passion (and earns you a bit of money now) but in 10 years time can you honestly say you'll be using that as your primary source of income?

As for A-Levels, what the fuck is "Key Skills"? I think this is a better way to go because you will end up coming out the other end with a qualification in not only music, but also IT and French (the IT bit being very useful probably, career wise).

I have to say:

QUOTE
- Much more spare time than A-levels = more time for WG

QUOTE
- Much longer hours = less time for WG. Bad for a Council member.

I wouldn't let these two influence your decisions at all, whatever you may think now, you'll eventually regret it if you change your education because it will "fit WG better".

Last of all:

QUOTE
- Several pubs, 2 Subways, a McDonalds and a KFC all within walking distance
- Burger King ~20 minutes walk away

Wtf, student's are too poor for that shit hash.png

Other than that, good luck in your assignments and I guess we'll see you in a week or so

I'm inclined to agree with JC here,

Go for B and it will help keep your options open.

The free time thing while i might sound appealing isn't necessarily great in the long term, you will only be doing the course for a couple of years and then those qualifications are what you will have for the rest of your life, if you're not going to university.

Yes, and I will not argue it. Employment, education and all other concerns are secondary. And it is not the money I am interested in. If I spend the next years in a dead end job living in some crappy apartment playing a live gig in a pub every weekend and making just enough on the side, I will still be happy. And yes, I have done the math. I will be able to survive.

1.5-2 hours a week re-doing GCSE work at A-level solely for the purpose of helping me get into Uni, which I will not be going to.

If I do these assignments on time and pass the first year, I get the National Award which is basically an A-level in IT anyway.

My education was fucked long ago. The least I can do now is cater for WG's needs. My plan-A was always to have a minimum wage full-time job, which is £768 a month (Survival with GCSE qualifications) and band and what I can do as a simple web designer on the side. A-levels are, and always have been, a fallback. And if they can get me a better job - great!

But stick to the last sentence of my original post. This is not about me - this is about WG. I have argued it with my parents, my teachers, my lecturers, even my previous clanmates for 3 years now. I am not going to change my mind. So even if you know it's not the best choice for my future per se, at least say option A anyway. I'm probably going to pick it in the end, and I want WG's full support. Otherwise I will have subconscious regrets and will not be able to give 100% to the clan.

Option A, you've biased your pros/cons towards it. And if you really do want to do Option B you'll do it no matter what we say.

Absolutely right. I'll just leave the inactivity bit.

I'm watching you now and if I see you to often drifting from your studies you may have to get a ban from forums and irc. Of course I'd leave audio for you to complain to us all about it. lol Go get your work done and stop reading the forum. You can catch up next week.

When that work is done, I'd like to ask you if you plan on being a high school band director or something like that. You would be pretty awesome as a teacher in high school.

Peace to you.
Rachy

Thank you Garrett and Dallar.

is the day you have stopped leading them.
They have either lost confidence that you can help them
or concluded that you do not care.
Either case is a failure of leadership.”
