I just want to know what else I could talk about. So far I'm talking about these things: - Hardware as a Service - Software as a Service - Current uses - How it's an efficient use of computing resources - How it affects people (large businesses, small business, average people) - A little about how it'll shape they way we use computers and computing in general I'd like to talk a little more about how cloud computing will shape computing, but I just can't find anything that's really concrete. What else do you think I could talk about? Also, any advice on how to stretch what I do have to 10 pages would be awesome, as it is now, I see that being maybe 6-7 pages, 8 if I'm lucky. 1-2 pages for HaaS and Saas each. 1-2 pages for effectiveness and how it affects people. 1-1.5 pages for current uses and maybe 1-1.5 pages for future of computing/impact of cloud computing. That's 9 pages at the very best, but realistically I'm looking at 6-7 with what I've got. Any suggestions, or good places to read up on tech stuff like this would be appreciated. -------------------- ![]() ![]() |

It requires a description of the phone, the application and what people are doing with it. Enough applications should get you some pages and who knows it may be interesting to you. -------------------- |

Personally, I be paranoid about my information and who has access to it, how they use it and how their rules will change with time. Cloud computing in theory be a great idea. It allows for computationally intense processes to be offloaded onto an external device so that ye can do more from your smaller, more portable devices like phones, netbooks, or whatever. However, I do not want all of my information to be stored on or tracked by a service external to my computer. I do not want to have to connect to the internet every time I want to access my data or do anything useful (another reason why I HATE licenses that have to verify with servers if ye be legally allowed to use the software but that's another story). Google be a good example of this. The company does everything now from search engine, to advertising, to browsers, browser based applications, operating systems, and will soon be an internet service provider. My point be that Google has TONS of information about me just by me using the Chrome browser, the search engine and their email service. What be this company's intention? How do they keep providing all these supposedly free services to people? There's something they be doing with everyone's information but they aren't disclosing it and that's what scares me. -------------------- ![]() ![]() |

Had written 4 pages by like 11PM and wrote 9 from midnight to about 4AM. Woke up and then wrote the conclusion. So yeah...pulled it all out of my ass basically haha. Sam, my class was an introductory computer class. SO introductory that some of our labs were walkthroughs of MS Word and Excel... I ended up getting a 150/160 on the paper, so I'm not bothered haha. -------------------- ![]() ![]() |
