Alright. I am being half serious here.

What if we could recruit the Triumvirate into being a serious clan?

They could join WG. We apparently really impress their one leader person.

13 clans in their group. 10 to 20 members each. 130 to 260 members. Cut that down to 50 to 100 that meet our requirements. Do you want to get some opts or not? Fuck yeah. We could give them a few exceptions. We could work as a community to help them meet our requirements and get the gear to PK and shit.

I say try to be respectful and let some leaders do some work. Well let Rob spy on them or some shit and bring them all here. He is damn good at creating an army.

Less troll, more members.

Opinions?

Well, more members is great and all, but the thing itself is ridiculously weird and nooby. Putting WG next to some of those names would be embarrassing.

What do we have to lose? Respect from RSC? That has been gone for a while.

These people have a mind on their heads to be able to put together shit like this. I know for sure I couldn't do it. If we troll around their posts or whatever it is for a bit, we can see the quality of members that they have. I have seen decent typing from the leader. Think if they were all like that.

I guess so, but I doubt they'll be happy about us stealing people from other clans unsure.gif

They want to ally not merge.
Merging will cause some people we don't even know trying/being ranks in our clan.
As for an alliance. I would like to have an ally that could back us up as much as we can back them up. If not then they would have to have a nice community.

I have to agree with Rob. He was a bit strange when Rob and I talked to him in the game, but I directed him to our forum. I wanted to at least give him a chance to explain what he wanted.

I think being nice to them is very wise. Even if we don't allies with them, we could invite them to come to our community events and be guests on our forum. We get to know them with no worries that way.

Thank you Garrett and Dallar.

is the day you have stopped leading them.
They have either lost confidence that you can help them
or concluded that you do not care.
Either case is a failure of leadership.”

I find the entire prospect of the Triumvirate rather odd and kinda silly.
I mean what's the point of setting up a Government such as this when the clan world was just perfectly fine for close to 12 year's.

The only thing I'm skeptical about is how this will actually turn out.
Alliances like these are rarely ever successful. You need good communication and effort from BOTH sides. We've seen how hard it can be and how our own alliances have become strained (TBE/TDM) when both sides didnt communicate well/make an honest effort. Yet at the same time, we've seen the success it brings when both sides communicate very well through our near weekly allied raids. Add in the factor that the triumvirate isn't just a clan, its a collection of very small clans.

Secondly, the idea of governing in RS is a failure in itself. I've read some of their regulations, and how power is distributed among some of the branches, but in reality, they have no power. What do you do when someone steps out of line? Crash them? Hack their forums? Spam their IRC? First off, its against their policies, and secondly they dont even know what IRC/Runeheads are. Its trying to accomplish what the real life United Nations could not. Its idealistic to creating a better community, but theres no real way to enforce anything, which is why today the real life U.N cant do anything but put sanctions because no country feels like risking their neck for a cause they're not interested in.

Thirdly, WG is vastly superior to the Triumvirate. Being the most powerful and well built clan in this triumvirate, it would require alot of effort from us to ensure success. It would push us into situations that we may not want to be involved in. WG already needs help at home. Theres no point on sending our people and efforts in an attempt to become helpful in the triumvirate. How many people do you think would actually be actively interested in attending the triumvirate's events, and how long would it last?

Idealistic, but a wasted effort. As for recruiting their members, its plausible since we are clearly able to impress them. However, keep in mind it'll take alot of effort that could be put into other events like raiding and warring. It would be the equivalent of trying to get people to attend a skilling event (no offense to skillers). Although it is enjoyable for many people, the general amount of interest is much lower, and many people not interested feel forced to attend something they dont enjoy. In the end, lower attendance = less enjoyment optimism = more burnout.

The real Triumvirate (the forum community/game) is more worth our time than a clan.
