Cashed out about 2k. Will pay for Runefest if I still go. I've had an offer from a very nice lady who is a friend of a friend in my clan who has a ticket but can't go and would be willing to give me it. I'm still considering this. Not sure how I'd feel about taking it but not giving her full credit and public thanks (something she doesn't want for multiple reasons.) So we'll see.

Other than that it's paying for my trip to Montreal in Canada in December.

I'll also buy into the big monthly live tournament this Sunday in Stoke. My live tournament results are even better and more consistent than my on-line.

Before asking stupid questions about poker or making unjustified and uneducated assumptions that it's a casino game for degenerate gamblers with no skill involved, read this topic. http://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/54/poker...-ask-me-632959/

Nice winnings. I didn't know it was possible to make an actual living off poker. Would you say the people that make a living this way are poker pro's?

No.

It takes talent to win with absolute crap, takes talent to read your opponent.

Not particularly.

The majority of my on-line winnings are in games such as Razz, Omaha, 5 card draw and 2-7 lowball. This is because most people playing them are just taking a short or "trying it out" because they don't tend to be available in typical live games (with the exception of Omaha.)

That said, I'm not much of a cash game player. I tend to focus on tournaments purely for the competitive value.

I wouldn't consider myself a loose aggressive player, probably more tight/conservative. Though in deep stacked games and higher buy-in tournaments you have to mix it up a lot.

I actually can't stand a lot of the new generation poker players. They see poker on TV and think every hand is action action action. Failing to realize that TV only shows the big hands.

I've been playing since I was about 14. For money/legally since I turned 18.

Well done.
I don't play online anymore (CAUSE I LOST MY BANKROLL LOL) but play like every 3 days with either my friends or people from work. Not the biggest stakes, buy-ins anywhere from $10 to $50 but it's still fun none the less.

Good for you, Steve. I didn't know you were into poker.
I know 2 professional poker players... and now I have 3 people to root for.
Keep me updated.

P.S. That linked thread was kind of irritating.
The writer was just as much an ass as the people he was making fun of. It kind of defeated the point.

Impressive wins. I'm pretty in to poker but I seem to do alot better luck playing in RL than on the net.
