      IRC Nickname: Maths Group: Ex-Member Posts: 1855 Member No.: 54 Joined: December 31, 2007 Total Events Attended: 286    | We're very successful in our p2p raids, however I still see a lot of people gearing up in gear that should not reflect a p2p pking clan. A lot of people do not pay attention to their attack bonuses, however this is one of the most important elements of p2p pking. This topic is focused more towards high level members, as they can sacrifice some defence on their gear to get a really good attack bonus. MAGES Lets talk about mages. A typical mage setup would be as follows. Setup 1 - Typical mage gear: 476k  Now sure, +56 mage will render you hitting some of the time on opponents. But look what you could be doing for a cheaper cost. Setup 2 - Better mage gear: 437k  A neitz helm gives no magic bonus whatsoever, while for 50-100k more +6 mage can be added to your bonus. A guthix cape is free, and provides +10 magic, and mystic boots are way better than anything else. Its at a cheaper cost too, and i'm only sacrificing +10-15 defence bonus, which isn't a lot considering normal tank gear should already be in your inventory. For an extreme setup: Setup 3 - Better (again) mage gear: 1.03 mil  If you don't dungeon, sure, I don't expect everybody to run around in arcane stream necklaces, however it speaks for itself when it gives +15% damage. Incorporating MA rings into your gear setup will render it more useful than a ring of recoil, even if it is only an emerald (i) or ruby (i) ring. Zuriel's staff is also a very very good thing to use on a raid. Its around 500-600k for one, and sure only lasts 1 hour, but it provides really good damage against another clan (plus the spell effect). If you want to go pro extreme, full zuriel's is the way to go. Do note that at the cost of 2 mil, you have a good chance not to make back the money that it costs. RANGERS Setup 1 - Typical range gear: 321k  Cool, +133 range bonus for 321k. You can do better than this. Setup 2 - Improved range gear: 273k  +173 range bonus for cheaper. D-hide vambs provide more range bonus than rune gloves. Same with snakeskin boots and the archer helm. I lose you about 40-50 defence bonus, but do note this is without rune legs on, which will be in your inventory. MELEE Don't know why you would be melee'ing on a raid, apart from if you're tb'ing with a dds. However melee is easy. These are the things that will affect your bonus

If you get them from kills itd be best to use them  I'll bring one next time we raid for my tbing, but if it doesn't work out so well i may switch back, cause im what you'd consider mediocre with 90 Def.
