Okay I suck at Physics, mainly due to the teacher being so dull and awful, but partly because I'm just not naturally good at it.

I just need the answer to 1 question. So;

A Ford Mondeo, weighing 1500kg, speeds up to 50metres/second from 20 metres/second with a force of 5000N. How long would it take to speed up?

Thanks, and show me how you did it please

yeah i think you need:
initial velocity - 20m/s
final velocity - 50m/s
force = mass x acceleration
to work out acceleration and then work out the time with some equation i can't remember

since F = M*A, 5000 = 1500*a

therefore, A = 3.3333333m/s^2

then, simple chuck it all in an equation and you get

v = u + a*t
50 = 20 + 3.33333333*t
t = 30/3.333333333
t = 9.00s
