Not sure if this helps but I know GCSE (Secondary level) can seemed boring and monotone (not even sure if it applies to you and the country you come from, the subjects that's allowed).

Do a "look forward" method? Since the "now" isn't your interest. Meaning what would it be to have finished it well enough to get you where you want to be. Say, a faculty of interests in Uni. Then aim for that and finish this to get that.

If academics isn't your thing then look at what this can give you necessary to get to that non-academic achievement. Then same thing, aim and finish this to start getting there.

If that's too far fetched. Then take your revisions to a common place of study. Like a library or places you know there's people who are studying for the exams. I think you might idle for awhile. Maybe the environment can encourage you. But, you must first want to stick with it, whatever the methods.

Maybe others can give better advices. But ATB there.

THrow your computer out the window, that usually keeps you away from the biggest distraction.

Yeah, just dont turn your comp on.
Even if you convince yourself that you want to turn it on to revise using the internet hash.png

You have a similar case to me. Cutting one distraction brings another. It isn't good enough just ignoring the distractions, you need to do something more than that. I can't go into detail, but i'll offer the main tips:

- Revise outside in the sun
- Work in the library
- Listen to music
- Play counterstrike, and work between the long rounds (obscure, but it really helps me focus).
- Work with other people
- Make the revision more interesting - mind maps / quizes / presentations?

There's a whole host of oppertunity for getting more out of studying. It isn't just about 'sit down and work, fool'

ask an op in the irc to ban u from #wg and #wg lobby for a while so u can study.

but seriously. I have the same problem. I can't deal w/ playing css and doing hw in between rounds either cuz it distracts me =/

Really. The only way you will be able to study is to lock yourself in the Laundry room. Take out all of the stuff in their except the washer and dryer. Bring in your books, take only books and notes, not pencils/pens and make your parents not let you out for an hour.....only way I have ever truly studied for 3 yrs. I just....cant sit down and study...
