I am personally surprised at myself, and the change that has come over me. I s'pose this all started two nights ago when I went to bh + lost 2 sets in 2 nights running. 1 due to a pjer and 1 due to lag. So angry I was that I was just going mental in the irc, eventually calming down and just logging off runescape. But after I went to bed I though about the shitload of sets I had lost when the old wildy was around. Like, I would've lost around 1 set per week, and on one occasion lost a whip . I remember that day I lost a whip, we logged into a world up at lvl 55 wildy near chaos ele, I called the fall in, we charged, and I had forgot to put protect prayer on. I knew that I had to call the first pile + then tank, though I died nonetheless. However, I spawned back in fally + my first thought was "go get another set + return to the fight", so out another set came and I tele'd back up. The whip I had lost was my only whip, so the spare set I had to bring was with a d scim. My bank only had like about 3/4 mil in it at the time, though the loss of about 2 mil in that set did not worry me. Basically before, when the old wildy + no godswords were around, losing pixels meant little to me. However, now, like 6/7 months on from that day, 65 mil in bank + bgs, still doesn't prevent me from being pissed off losing just 1 f2p set. Maybe the introduction of the new godswords means that some people can only afford 1 "best weapon". You used to be able to go through whips just like that. They were replacable. You couldn't blow your whole bank in 1 go on 1 death. However, now, you can lose your whole bank. 1 wrong move in p2p bh, loses a 105 mil godsword. However, have I just become more greedy? I sometimes wonder this, because like 1 small f2p set is not much (200k?) compared to my bank as a whole. Maybe its the terrible implication of bounty hunter in which too many ppl just run from you, wasting 50k worth of food before 1 kill is possible. Maybe its the cost of some 99 skills nowadays, in which 200k could've been put to much better use. Yeah, idk, just had this thought. I guess you can give alot to it to the lack of a true wildy. Just a couple days ago, I fought another guy in a barrow + whip fight in BH. I knew if I could ko him, I would get a free whip + barrows, but the risk was there for me too. I was chaining +30s like crazy, it was amazing. Out of nowhere, this guy finally hits and I get chained a 30-10 and died. I didnt care about the whip. I didnt care about the barrows. I would have gone right back out there with another set. But it wasnt a good fight. I got pjed by 2 agsers in that fight, and when he hit that 10, my screen froze when i clicked my inventory to eat. I dont think its that you're greedy or anything. Its the part of having bad luck, and constant pjers. The frusteration of having to do 5 trips before finding a decent fight. The fact that the people nearby you arent there to spectate, but they're their to hop on weakened combatants as soon as one of you die. The ironic thing is, when the old wildy was out, I took it for granted. I always was restricted by my lack of wealth from raids and stuff. Now, im relatively rich and I wouldnt mind pking in +5m gear, and the chance isnt there for me anymore.
