Guys we have been having discussions on tactics and stuff and I want to point out something in light of the matched opts that just finished.

What you saw there was a fight that was very VERY close to going the wrong way.
On one hand we won outnumbered and had half our people left.
However look at it closer.

By my count of the 7 of us remaining, FIVE of them were out of food, mostly out of prayer, and had less than 50 hp.
Now that is exactly the risk you run with pile switching which we did pretty well today.
It easily could have turned out different leaving all of us dead and them on low HP because we just didnt quite finish it off.

So great fight today, but be wary of that in the future, because it's a risky tactic.
Pretty damn exhilarating fight over all though. I was out of food for 20 minutes and still put my robes on, so everytime I got hit was an adventure XD

Pile switch gave us the lead in the begining. I was antisniping and I started chaining really hard on this one guy, and we switched and managed to ko him, putting us at a tie.

But yea, too many could make things turn really bad, but I think it worked well to our advantage in this fight

Speaking for two of those five, the only reason we were low on food was because of myself and Karel mass-binding. While doing so, you have to judge when is the right time to start where you can suffer being sniped but still ride out the rest of the war. Imo me and Karel did it perfectly if we were out of food at the end tongue.gif

As for the other 3, idk, possibly due to pile switches. Overall i thought we did well though :S Just my opinion =\

Everyone who was low on food was low as a result of binding of some sort.

There shouldn't be a risk to antisnipers anyway, that's what the antisnipers are for.

All of my food was sniped out of me.
However, I didn't go past the point where I would've got ko'd in my robes.
In my opinion, the pile switchings worked well, we even killed 1 guy.
The other times 1 person from exer had 5/6 wg on him w/o prayer on.
This is to our advantage.

Like sure tmal, you think that this could've gone wrong easily.
However, look at the people we had there.
Bto, dz, joe, me, basically there was a ton of people who knew what they were doing.
Its not like we're going to stand in the middle and just die.
So I would put faith in them instead of always looking at the negative.

And look, we pulled it off too...

Im not saying it was unwise to do it maths, im a huge advocate of pile switching.
I have just seen it get carried away in the past.

See I wasn't even counting you as being low on food.
Anat
Abs
Myself
You
Robert
Mugger
Karel

I believe those were our ending 7, and now out of those 7 there was only one of them who actually had any food left.
I'm really glad we won, but we BARELY pulled it off which I'm sure you see.

Just trying to warn to be wary of it in the future because if you get carried away pile switching can turn from your best friend to your enemy.

Yeah it could have easily turned out differently, at we won.

I was also sniped out of a lot of food and semi-piled a few times during the war as well

I guess it was lucky they the 5 of them left suddenly didn't start attacking Karel or someone with no food + low hp.

Another thing I'd like to point out is name/location calling. You guys in TS do a great job but I heard you call "Next pile is kind of close to where the last guy died" which does cause some confusion. My suggestion is that you constantly say name - level - wherabouts etc until your throat gets parched happy.gif

Great job on the war.

Good point Tmal, our pile switching was actually really good today, however it is important that pile switching be concentrated. After you pile switch on someone you want to capitalize on the easy hits you have gotten on them right away and not wait till the end of the war.

For example, Welsh Ace had been sniped and pile switched on, and so was pretty low on food, yet instead of capitalizing on those gains and killing him right away we instead piled Countyfan and then Myserla (who both seemed to have alot of food left). If the fight was any closer, say someone else DCed, this could have cost us the win.
