![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() IRC Nickname: Cory|Melchior Group: Ex-Member Posts: 240 Member No.: 527 Joined: April 25, 2008 Total Events Attended: 5 ![]() ![]() ![]() | After talking with Vince and Dano the other day, after being on runescape for a short while, I came to the conclusion that I should think about my character in a past to present stand point. No, there isn't that big of a purpose for this, it's more or a less a way to look back. For those who don't know me, or know me that well, perhaps this will give a mediocre sence of insight... My current, and only character, is Ikahigurashi. The name, really means nothing. When I first joined, I used the AIM username "Ikashashi", which also means nothing. I could not use Ikashashi unfortunately (Which was my first choice) because it contained the word "hash" in it. Unlucky for me, not only is it a kind of breakfast food, but also a slang for pot. Regardless, I shortened it to Ika, but 3 letters wasn't acceptable. So, I added "Higurashi" to the end of it, and called it good. So, I suppose my entire character name would actually be Ikashashi Higurashi... but that's a mouthful, and not of the good sort. Ikahigurashi was NOT my first account. My first account was made within the first few months of classic. I was 13/14 at the time and I wasn't into the game. It didn't appeal to me at all, and gave it up after a week or so. I do not remember the exact month of which that account was made, but it was eventually lost. Then, in May 2005, my friends began playing it. I still knew of the game, and was reluctant at first. My reluctancy is what sent them nearly 20 combat levels above me. I finally registered though, and I've been playing since then. My friends were ahead of me... and when you're level 3, level 20 is big. So, I trained... at cows. I stayed at cows until I was 20. Why? Simple. If I died, I could walk right to them, and, they were weak. So, once I got to a certain level, cows couldn't touch me. After cows, I moved on to the monks in the prayer guild. They were good, because they were dumb enough to heal you, even when you slaughted the others. You could even get them to heal you mid-battle back in the old days. Hill Giants were the last core in my training, which I used well up throug 60. So, now caught up with my friends, I began doing quests, and gaining money. No, I wasn't that rich, and new nothing of rares or economy. I was oblivious to ANY monetary skills and items. I became involved in mining, mostly because 2 of my friends were mining, and were making decent money. They were rich, compared to me, with their whopping 20k. They also made me armor, which I eventually became able to make myself. Combat soon became my center though. Melee, not range or mage. Mage eventually came once I figured out the importance of teleporting. I didn't begin range until I was nearly 60. I was seriously level 1 range until then. I did however manage to get membership when I was combat level 43. This was big, as I could finally gather that amazing Addy 2H. So, now I was playing on a regular basis. Out of my 3 irl friends, I was now above 2 of them. I eventually passed all of them, and majority of my other runescape friends as well. My combat training remained fairly constant. With the influx of membership, fletching became a good source of money. No, I couldn't high alch them, and no, there wasn't anything worth high alching when you're 30 fletching... BUT, a little bit of money goes far at that stage. I Woodcut a lot during this time and became fairly high for my level in wc and fletching. If I needed money, that's how I got it. It was the first real time I'd stopped combat training. One of my other school mates had actually joined, unknown to me, around the same time I did. I found him in Al Kharid by complete mistake as he was using his IRL name as his rsn. I confronted him about it the next day, and it was him. We became woodcutters and did it most of our logged in time. That account eventually got banned though, as he was a nooby scammer. He joined again on his main that he would keep for quite some time under the name King Tomass. He also dragged one of his other friends on, who's name was Titanium zxt (he's a drummer, hence his rsn). Nate, who was Titanium Zxt, caught up really fast. Tom eventually slowed down and it was mostly me and Nate who did stuff. He skilled extremely fast and caught up in combat, which was now about 90 for us. Nate and I eventually were the only two playing as Tom eventually quit. Fletching and woodcutting were our main tasks, and we eventually got into the 80's with both skills. He maged a lot more as his goal was 99 mage, but never managed it. What usually happened was, he'd cut the logs and knife them... I'd string them, and he'd mage them. It was better for me, because I eventually got bored of woodcutting, and went back to my combat roots. Now, with the release of the dagannoth monster, I trained my ass off. Also, this is where my first clan came in. I was slaughtering, as usual, and up came another player. His name was SlayerOfTime (sorry Vince), and he was seemingly pretty cool at the time. I talked to him for a bit, and he soon introduced his clan site to me... Knights of Death [KoD]. I glanced at the site, and joined about a hour later. Being my first clan, I knew nothing of really what was expected. I didn't really do much with it for about a week. It was in that week that the entire clan shifted. I had came back after that first week to a completely disassembled clan. Half of the clan split and formed Impulse [iP] and the other half remained KoD. I stayed in the KoD half, obliviously knowing nothing of what happened. I eventually found out it was because SoT was a compulsive hacker and a betrayer, and he ended up leaving as leader shortly after. The clan became lead by Danaka, Cloud1924, and SSVegeta# ![]() So, with the fall of KoD, us leaders decided to give one more shot at making a clan. We thought that because the clan was still in the name of SlayerOfTime, that the clan was getting a bad rep. So, we changed sites and became the new clan of Valhalla Rising [VR]. SSVegeta ended up leaving because he couldn't devote the activity he wanted, but, we gained our new leader named Silent Sleen. The beginning of the clan was good, and with Dan's coding skills, and my graphics, we made an awesome pair for creating the site's graphics. We gained some members, and had a bunch of events. Activity declined however, and rather quickly. We lasted about 3 months. Most people had already left and moved on to other clans. It was in this time that I made the drastic decision to leave my place as Leader, and join Impulse. I had actually been talking to 00psie, one of the higher ups of Impulse, for quite some time... I was trying to gain a clan friend rank, as most of the Ex-KoD members were there. My efforts failed, as she declined me twice. She didn't like me that much, but, I decided I would continue trying. I later found out the only reason she didn't like me was because she didn't want me as a clan friend, she wanted me as a member. I was granted membership rather quickly when I applied. [VR] failed practically 2 hours after I left. It felt guilty, but I recruited 75% of them to [iP]. Daniel Chase and Cloud1924 were the two main friends that came with me. Unfortunately, Vince wasn't allowed in the clan because he'd clan hopped between the two clans a few times, and was caught up with SoT for a while. Regardless, I remained friends with him the entire time, and still did most of my rs activities with him. Nate's activity in the game declined, and my other school friends who I had started rs with had quit by now. It was just rs friends for the most part. Impulse was one of my favorite clans I've been in for my past. I made the most friends there, and my sigs were equally appreciated. I was close with practically everyone, especially 00psie. However, like every clan I've been in, it split into 2 clans again. 00psie and Boarder1387 became the leaders of Relentless [rL] and gained at least half the members, if not more. I felt however, after my leaving of VR, that I should not give up on another clan. So, I stayed in Impulse. It eventually merged with some other clan, which the name always escapes my mind. Regardless, I hated ALL of the members of the clan that merged with us. I left immediately, and remained clanless for about 13 minutes until I joined Relentless. I was with Impulse for about 6-9 months. With most of my Impulse friends still here, I still consider Relentless one of my best clan experiences. The clan was GREAT. We had awesome activity and great outcome for events. I eventually climbed up the ranks here as well. A simple council member at first, then eventually High Council. The only two ranks of the clan in leadership position were held by 00psie as queen rank, and Boarder1387 as king rank. So, those were unobtainable for me as there were only one of each. However, Half of the clan split from Relentless (sounds familiar >_>...for the 3rd time) and failed to create another clan. They just kind joined others or floated around clanless. However, we still had a good amount of people for Relentless. I soon obtained the one and only rank of "Queen's Bitch", which was one of the other unique ranks in the clan. It was also the equivalent of High Council (named Guardian in RL), which was the next step under Queen. It was around this time, since I'd became rather close to 00psie, that I finally convinced her that Vince was the cat's pajamas, and boom, he was in the clan. So now, me, Daniel Chase, Cloud1924, and Vince were reunited. Like past clans, Relentless soon became to decline. Dan and I, who were similar positions (but, he obviously couldn't too be the Queen's Bitch), pretty much took over the clan. Dan was good with board mods, and coding, and I was practically leader the majority of the time. He was Chancellor rank, which was basically JUST coding. However, I decided that him and I were the best candiates for running the clan. 00psie was slightly inactive due to her job, and her house-move. So, I told her to make us Guardian rank, and we became the leaders of the clan. I gave up my unique rank, as I figured that being unique was unfair to the clan, even though I'd been the Queen's Bitch rank for months already. Dan and I held out with Relentless for as long as we could, but everyone eventually stopped coming to events. We tried, seriously tried, but no one came, and no one cared. So, Dan and I quit at the same time. We had been conversing for about 2 weeks before we left, and decided we were going to make our own clan. We came up with Inflicted shortly after, and it was up and running in about 2 weeks. We kept in touch with each other in IRC for the 2 weeks we were creating it. Not only did Dan and I design the site, but it was our masterpiece. The clan however failed once more and we eventually made the forum just a chatting forum. The main reason Dan and I made the clan was not to make a successful clan, though, we would've loved that. The only reason we did it is so we could accomplish our last ranks we hadn't been. We'd been normal members, every kind of council, high council, leader... etc. Founder was the only things we had left to do. We had accomplished every clan rank we wanted. So, We basically stepped aside from the clan. Dan quit rs. Paul became unactive, and is currently in Quit-mode at the moment. So, what I did, was joined WG. I wanted to start at stage one again, being just a normal member. I didn't want everything in my hands again, and it is good. The rest, most of you know... I joined as a skiller, and became a Skill Guardian, aspiring to climb higher in the clan... But Alas, my computer became incapable of running rs. I started college, and became unable to play runescape. For the last 4 months, I have been on runescape only a handful of times. I am currently trying to play when I can... my mom occasionally lets me use her computer to play, but only for the time being. I am still trying to get a new computer...one which should be able to handle runescape for quite some time. I'm going to go crazy with memory and processors to resist lag, foreverrrrrr. That's basically it...in a nutshell. Some of it is forgotten, some of it is untold. I very well couldn't tell my entire story, and I very well couldn't include all of my friends and enemies within this story. Sure, I remember it mostly, but, If I told everyone my story, then it wouldn't be my unique story anymore. My character has been unique from the start. From name, to how I act towards people and such. I still talk to everyone, regardless of them being level 3 or 138. Also, I did not include my skill accomplishments. The actual game is a minor part of my past as far as a player goes. The clans and the people I've played with are most of my past, and the important part to me. I used the game as a form of communication for my friends. Any questions or comments can be asked ![]() -------------------- Kingdom of Edgeville ![]() |
