Many of ideas and thoughts were talked about on Teamspeak. There were over 25 WG members and shown support for WG, To help get WG out of the slump its in. Myself being a new member i get the feeling that the community is not very welcoming

1. Skill and Combat Wars:

Alot of people were split between skills and combat, so it was thought best to have both open and avaliable to WG's members. There should be diffrent skill and combat competitions with an added bonus of being able to aquire special banners for the top people in that skill, this was a hit in the past and im sure it will be a hit now. Not only will it help memebers make new friends and improve the ones which have already been made but in no time your lvls will rise. Being a new member i believe this will bring friendly compition between WG's members, gaining the levels needed to beat one another. Many believe that this should be bought back.

2. Sex talk:

98% of the 25 people on teamspeak agreed that there needs to be a bit more respect within the Clan Chat, on Teamspeak, in Runescape, IRC, and all fourms including these forums and other groups. Flirting is okay even though that too can get carried away, its the vulgar and just down right disrespectful. Members can be lost to this and yes believe it or not you coud get in real trouble as well. WG's IRC can be shut down maybe even be taken off runehead and our reputation tarnished forever, This is no joke, so please think before you speak and be respectful to the women and kids of WG.

3. Quest Partners:

It has been agreed by most members that quests are funner and easier to do with other people. I know this myself as i have only 11 quests left to do and no one to do any with, once i get my cape im actually going to become a quest guide and go with members and walk them trough the quests. We need more people like this, Its one thing doing quests yourself, another doing it with someone. It may take time to do the quest but in the end is worth it.

4. Apprentices:

It has come to my attention that when the old system was around members were given a mentor. Not only are you helping a members get better but that person is always going to remember you, good or bad they wont ever forget it was you were there to help them become better within the skill you helped them achieve. It is a good feeling knowing that you helped someone. I do it all the time even to people i dont know, If your good at a skill or many skills then give some time and help others out please. This used to happen all the time in the past, myself and others would like to see this implimented within the future.

5. Taking time to confort people:

This was a hit when it was spoke about, there is nothing better than taking time out of your daily routine to go and spend sometime with a member of WG who is having trouble with training. Both Yingyang06 and Dorcha3377 have both found a good way of training Range. Dorcha herself trained on Yak's, It was suggested that if you for example are training range for a short while with someone then you can use bone bolts. They are 2gp in the shops and on the GE, so there are cheap ways of training with someone, even if it is going there and alching while they train. It makes members feel more motivated, as it was said.. If members are not motivated enough to train then they will not motivated enough to do events or attend wars.

6. Congratulatory Team:

Many of WG's are members are achieving master of a skill from under their hats, other members are achieving Milestone totals, This new group would go around the world of runescape being there to congratulate those who have or are gaining a new level. This makes other members feel wanted and/or worth the time.

7. Official wars:

96% of the people on Teamspeak agreed in one way or another that WG needs a break away from the war scene and that more fun events are hosted to help bring the community feeling back to wg, so my opinion is forget all these crazy hectic war tourniments and lets go out, have fun and bring this clan out of this slump.

In closing it is important to know that those members who stay behind are willing to rebuild the foundations of this clan, instead of destroying it, see it's salvation. Alot of people agreed with many of the suggestions all though there were some disagreement. I would like to see these suggestions put in place. I know i am a trail guardian and myself and no doubt others fill as if we cannot put across our voice. Please listen to WG's members and this slump will end and i quote "It's not what you are underneath, but what you do that defines you". Lets show everyone what WG can do, by the sounds of things, WG has been through this before, this time lets make it last!

Thank you,

Immolatus2 (William)

This message was from Dorcha3377:

I was asked to provide a "historical clan" view on the topic that we discussed today in our TS meeting.
We have done things in alot of different ways before, from splitting it in to groups and competing to having sectors where the whole clan was split into a skilling/fighting/community sector.

The main topics we discussed today were as follows:

Skill Wars/Combat Wars:

This would be where you could choose what you would like to do. Either join up in a combat war competition or a skill competition. That way the individual could choose what to train in.
This would allow everything.

(This does tie into our past skill olympics but in a much better way)

X-rated Sex Talk:

There are many members who are offended by the constant stream in both our lobby and clan chat by the topics that are brought up there. Light heartedness is one thing, but when you have a chat with younger people there are things you dont want to discuss. You never know who might be watching and monitoring us, so please be careful.
This has been a huge problem in the past and it is a battle i have been fighting for a long time. We can have fun without it. It will take diligence on our ops parts to help curb this.

People's Attitude's:

This has been stressed alot over the important suggestion event, People's behaviour towards this clan has deminished, attitude towards other people has become worse, Recently there has been a few incidents regarding flames, rude comments and vulgar behaviour. Yingyang06 has wrote a topic on this, which can be found HERE

Quest/Helpers:

Often at times there are quests that are very tedious when done alone, we think a type of quest buddy/friend would be of a huge amount of help. This way people who have done the quest or need to do them can have company, it would make things so much easier and a lot more fun.
We have done this in the past to great success and now with the new lending system those idiotic items you have to retrieve could be made a lot less of a hassle.

Teamspeak:

Alot of member strongly suggest that the clan should host a weekly get together on TS to help us work out issues and bond together, in the past TS was the single most effective way of getting to know people and making friends there could be. We can use this for an effective weapon against us being distant from our members and getting closer.

Myself and many others would also propose bringing back from the past an old idea with a new twist....... a Congratulatory Team, which would be on hand to come congratulate an character/member a personal congratulations when a level is achieved! Your very own cheering team. Many members value this idea and think it would mean a lot to have the Wilderness Guardians clan members there to help you in your special moments, plus it could be documented on the forums.

Apprenticeships:

These were very successful in the past, Today this can be implimented within the clan in so many ways, whether they are there to help someone get ready godwars, or advice on how to succeed in gaining goals.
Such a person would teach you an effective way to achieve those goals, because they themselves have accomplished them. Myself and Yingyang06 both have 90+ fishing and would not mind spending 20mintues 3 days a week fishing with other members who are heading for the master of fishing achievement. This can go for any skill, or these 'special' members will be there for members who need an ear to listen or to hold hand in hand as they struggle to grasp what this clan is about.

Tonights event hit alot of subjects, everyone agreed with most points, all though there were some who did not get what was being said, they found it in the end.

If we learn from the past, we can make a success of our future. In the past we have placed the burden on our council to bring us out of a slump, this time we going to depend on ourselves and each other.

The first step is to know you are falling, the second step is to grap onto something to pull yourself up from the ground.

Its time we all grew up a bit.

Thanks,
Jenny

1. About quest partners. Make a topic called 'Quest Partners', pin it, get people to post what quests they need doing, match up the people that need to do the same quests.

2. About the wars. I much prefer wars than any other event as do alot of people. Cutting down wars dramatically will also create negative vibes throughout WG. You can never please everyone.

Love the quest partner idea. I know for me it made quests so much more fun with a partner.

Thank you Garrett and Dallar.

is the day you have stopped leading them.
They have either lost confidence that you can help them
or concluded that you do not care.
Either case is a failure of leadership.”

I like your quest partner idea, but I disagree about warring. Most people want less wars, from what I've heard. And believe it or not, it WILL help WG by bringing the community closer together, and I would stake my entire reputation (albeit not much) on that statement. Thats how much I truely believe it.
