Like to shut people up on public forums? Don’t want to get suspended? This guide will allow you to “flame” others, but in a way that reduces the chance of being punished by superiors, allowing you to be innocent yet ruthless after a frustrating run in or war. Following a set of basic guidelines, your comments will magically transform from preteen ramblings into something that Einstein might have devised.

hash.png1: Type in full sentences. Do not cut corners with spelling
While typing “u” instead of “you” will save you 0.002 seconds of your life, it will make you look like an idiot. Although you are posting on the internet, there is no need for the internet dyslexia epidemic to spread even further. Leave the l33tsp34k to other people.
Example: Instead of: omfg, stfu u noob, we didn team wit dem, try: You are a moron, we didn’t team with them, you just got schooled by one clan. (Notice the periods and capitalization).

hash.png2: Avoid strong, general offensive terms
If you feel that your comment will offend far more than the person that you are directing it to, do not make the remark. This includes political beliefs, race, religion, and other things.

hash.png3: Use name calling effectively.
If you are offended when someone labels you as a noob, it shows what kind of life you have, and how limited the other person’s vocabulary is. Never put down people with comments that they do not deserve. If someone is spouting trash, you can say that he has underdeveloped testicles, but you can’t call him an asshole. If someone is saying that you brought friends when they did as well, you can call him a hypocrite, but you can’t call him a moron. You get the idea.

hash.png4: Do not swear
Swearing at any point in the argument shows that you have already lost, and that you are childishly throwing every offensive term you know at your opponent. Do not let others find this weakness. If you can’t find a smart thing to say to counter an accusation, just leave the thread and let someone else pick it up.

hash.png5: Use sarcasm liberally.
The great thing about the internet is that unless someone knows you well, it is impossible to detect sarcasm. So you can be as offensive as you want with sarcastic remarks and not be accused for flaming because no one outside of the argument will understand the context well enough to judge you. Besides, if the opposing force reports you to say, a moderator, they will look whinny. Good call.
Example: So today we went outside, and expected a war with Clan 'A'. Although we outnumbered them at the start and controlled the first half of the fight, Clan 'A' alone managed to defeat us BY THEMSELVES, without the help of their senior clan, or ally!

hash.png6: Focus on specific incidents.
Similarly to sarcasm, no one will know what you are talking about. Focusing on specific incidents will completely piss off your opponents, and hopefully, they will resort to swearing, or e-thug like behavior in an attempt to make you feel bad. Score!

hash.png7: Always leave real life comments outside of arguments.
Runescape is a computer game. Unless you take your adventures on this massive-multiplayer-role playing game completely seriously, you will agree that adding real-life comments is totally disgraceful. If someone mocks you based on assumed traits, such as: pmgz, ur get a life u nerd, just ignore them, because they are probably too dense to understand what you say anyway.

hash.png8. Consider how you will inflict the maximum damage.
Face it, calling someone a noob, or even dropping an f-bomb will do little damage to the opponent. Instead, it is a very good idea to take some time to think about what you are going to say. Remember, this is only used when push comes to shove. When reasoning stops and flames start to begin, hit hard, hit accurately.
Example: Hey, I’ve heard that recently your senior clan to junior clan ratio has finally reached equilibrium. Maybe the next time that you fight us you’ll have less than a 50% senior turnout.

hash.png9. Know when to quit.
If you feel that you are losing the battle, take a deep breath and leave the forums for a while. Given the chances, someone will come to your rescue rapidly and hold the fort until the cavalry arrives.

#10. Never use these words:
These words make you look completely retarded. Avoid them at all costs:
-IMO (yeah, we know its your opinion because you are posting the topic)
-TBH (and who gave you the power to decide what is the truth or not?)

#11. Avoid clichés descriptions/phrases at all costs.
This is minor in determining whether you get suspended or not, but avoiding using “Runescape clichés” will significantly improve your ability to demonstrate your point. The average age of the RSC’er is about 10, so unless your vocabulary consists of twenty or so words, you can always resort to more direct, and less ignorantly “poetic (not really, but people who say these words think they are)” words.
Examples: Sleeping giant, powerhouse, etc.

#12. If you have to, provoke flames, don’t make them
One of the best ways to make your opponent look moronic is to post a topic using rule 5 and rule 6. Not will draw the attention of every hating player, it will also attract the curious, making us look righteous while victimized. The worst thing that could happen is if you loose your temper and retaliate. Remember, be like Gandhi.

Your whole post summed up: Act like you're an intelligent individual instead of someone that plays RuneScape. hash.png

I could sum this up as: Don't flame, just flame bait while focusing on your vocabulary and grammar skill, something I already do in RSC omghash.gif.png

Be like me, I got flamed from a DF member, I used so many words his tiny brain probably didn't even know the meaning and I owned him so bad. He didn't post about me again.

Oh yeh, he was like 18, I'm 14 and I know more about grammer than some of the idiots on RSC.

My main tool for arguments is using sarcasm and thought up examples. Make a scenario using their reasoning and just twist it around so what you're saying looks so totally obvious and what they're saying just looks moronic, thus getting the reaction:

"Why the hell would I ever want to do that?"

I always use sarcasm though, it's fun to use that and have the person totally miss what you said - makes them look so stupid.
