I'm sure you guys have at least once thought to yourself "Damn, I wish I had a good way to train this skill..." And so I was thinking of making a topic, which I'll update as I find new ways, of the current best way to train a skill.

Of course, some people have different views on how to train a skill better, so there will be two places for each skill. Fastest way for XP, and Most Profitable. Now the fastest way will most definately lose you money, but it's definitely worth it afterward when you have that level. But for those who love their money, slower is better.

List of everyone who has helped put this together:
  • Bambaleo [Hunter/Thieving]
  • Eregion2 [Herblore/Smithing]
  • Indivi2you [Mining]
  • Type Z Z Z [Thieving]
  • Winddancir [Attack/Strength/Defence/Hitpoints/Slayer]
  • Yingyang06 [Fishing/Firemaking]
  • Zlatan83 [Hunter/Mining]
  • SithofWookie [Strength/Construction/Hunter]

Attack:
Best way to train (XP): If i'm not mistaken, it would be Bandits. Right?
Best way to train (Money): Attack/Strength/Defence/Hit Points all fall under one good training. Do SLAYER! [Winddancir]

Strength:
Best way to train (XP): Dharok's Set at Ape Atoll Monkey Guardians. [Sithofwookie]
Best way to train (Money): Attack/Strength/Defence/Hit Points all fall under one good training. Do SLAYER! [Winddancir]

Defence:
Best way to train (XP): Same with the first, Bandits, right?
Best way to train (Money): Attack/Strength/Defence/Hit Points all fall under one good training. Do SLAYER! [Winddancir]

Ranged:
Best way to train (XP): Definitely the fastest way to train this skill is Chinchompas. They will run you several 10s of millions depending on what level you currently are, but it will take no time at all to get 99 if you have the money to do it.
Best way to train (Money): Money-Making with Ranged, correct me if I'm wrong, would have to currently be killing dragons. You have no chance of dieing, and its about 5k per kill which takes about 30 seconds to a minute to kill.

Prayer:
Best way to train (XP): Fastest way to train prayer is a Gilded Alter. No questions asked.
Best way to train (Money): Same with XP, there really is no better way to do it except just burying the bones without the alter which saves you a couple million in costs to get the Con level and the costs of Marrentil. This would literally take forever to do though.

Magic:
Best way to train (XP): Fastest way to train magic would be to Ice Blitz or Ice Barrage. This will cost tons of money, but you will get your level faster than any other way.
Best way to train (Money): Best way to not waste money, even though as of now there really is not many things you can make profit on alching, is High Alchemy. 1000 alchs an hour and anyone can get 99 Magic in 200 hours. This is 8 full days of alching, so if you take it 5k alchs a day, that would take 40 days. 4k/day = 50 days, 3k = 67 days, 2k = 100 days, and 1k = 200 days. My best advice is every day when you log in, alch 1000 of something. You'll see the levels raking in.

Runecrafting:
Best way to train (XP): Fastest way to train RC would be first to get 50 rc, then play the minigame and stock up on hundreds of Alter Teleport Tablets. Then, buy several thousand Pure Essence and you can do 1 trip in about 30 seconds, so depending on how many pouches you have, that can be anywhere up to 6000 runes per hour. 12000 if on 2x.
Best way to train (Money): Best way to make money is make the highest level rune you can, with the teleport tabs mentioned above. Why make chaos when you can make death?

Construction:
Best way to train (XP): Mahogany planks. (Super Fucking Fast)
Best way to train (Money): Oak Planks. (SLOW AS FUCK) Normal Planks you can't really make much with, Oak you can make Larders and Carved Tables and a lot of other things. [Sithofwookie]

Hitpoints:
Best way to train (XP): Fastest way is probably chins, but pest control works too [Karel Dude]
Best way to train (Money): Attack/Strength/Defence/Hit Points all fall under one good training. Do SLAYER! [Winddancir]

Agility:
Best way to train (XP): If you're seriously desperate, the desert pyramid gives 1k per run if you talk to the guy. [Karel Dude]
Best way to train (Money): You cannot make money on this skill. (Or can you?)

Herblore:
Best way to train (XP): Buy your herbs, Which will make you broke.
Best way to train (Money): Buy herb seeds, and grow your own herbs. [Eregion2]

Thieving: (I know nothing about this skill. Help?)
Best way to train (XP): Pyramid Plunder, definately. [Bambaleo]
Best way to train (Money): black jacking the best pickpocket u can for your level [Type Z Z Z]

Crafting:
Best way to train (XP): Fastest XP that I know of is Black Dragonhide Bodies. Case in point: 4lchemy. He made 8.3m xp in 2 days. This takes several millions. Start with 200m if you plan to do this in 2 days. Below 84 Crafting, fastest xp is any of the other d'hide bodies but still they are expensive as shit. below 63 crafting? make molten glass or flax.
Best way to train (Money): If you want to make money with this skill, there are two options for you. If you have done Lunar Diplomacy, switch to Lunar Magicks and buy as many Seaweed (YOU DO NOT HAVE TO COOK IT) and Buckets of Sand that you can. *Hint* If you have done the Hand in The Sand quest, you can get 84 buckets of sand every day for free. Talk to the dude in Yanille. Also, you can buy 80 Seaweed from the dude in Catherby for 2 gp each (Almost free) Every day. *End Hint* Then, you need the amount of seaweed and sand you bought divided by 13 in astral runes. so for every 600 materials you have, buy 100 astrals. Then, go to your Lunar Spellbook with a Staff of Air on, Fire Runes, Astral Runes, and 13 sand and 13 seaweed in your inventory. Cast SuperGlass Make and you're rich. You get 130 Crafting XP and 78 Magic XP per cast. Takes 10 seconds to cast and reload inventory. You can do 360 casts an hour resulting in 46800 Crafting XP and 28080 Magic XP.

*** Do not tell me Flax is better than this method. While you do make more XP per load (140 xp), it is TONS slower than making glass. Only do bowstrings if you have not done Lunar Diplomacy. You can do 73 loads per hour, resulting in 10220 Crafting XP and 0 Magic XP.***

Fletching:
Best way to train (XP): Fastest way to train fletching is to not string your bows. Just make Long (u) all the way up.
Best way to train (Money): Best way to make money is to string you bows. it doubles the value of your bows.

Slayer: (Help?)
Best way to train (XP): There is no really a 'best' way of training that, other than to just choose the tasks that you do and burthy/cancel the rest [Karel Dude] Best way to do slayer is by doing the quest "Smoking Kills". Also, Go to the best master you can. Duradel for WG, cause we're all over 100 cmb p2p if we're training slayer (right?) Do every slayer task. Even if you hate it. Unless you have 30 slayer points to waste and skip it. [Winddancir]
Best way to train (Money):

Hunter: (Help?)
Best way to train (XP): Fastest XP is Red Salamanders, but you make absolutely no profit. [Sithofwookie] After level 80, Chins are best xp as you can get 100k per hour if you can set up 5 traps. [Zlatan83/Bambaleo]
Best way to train (Money): I think it's Red Chinchompas, right?

Mining:
Best way to train (XP): Mining Iron is the fastest exp possible. [Indivi2you] If you reach level 85 then you can mine rune and you can get up to 250k per hour up to 2m+ per day. [Zlatan83]
Best way to train (Money): Money making with Mining has gone downhill, but if you are F2P it is profitable to mine Coal in the Falador Mining Guild. You make more money if you bank your ores.

Smithing:
Best way to train (XP): Buy adamantite bars and make platebodies to alch/sell. Not profitable but VERY fast. Without 88 smithing, the fastest method I think is buying gold ore and smelting using the goldsmith gauntlets from the Family Crest quest, but it's about 3X slower. [Eregion2]
Best way to train (Money): Mine your own ores.

Fishing:
Best way to train (XP): Best way to train is on Monkfish as they are faster than sharks more exp than any other fish, you can also sell on the GE for 395+ gp each. [Yingyang06]
Best way to train (Money): Fishing's biggest moneymaker is Sharks, but monkfish are the second best way. [Yingyang06]

Cooking:
Best way to train (XP): Buy Fish, and use Cooking Gauntlets.
Best way to train (Money): Fish your own Fish, and use Cooking Gauntlets.

Firemaking:
Best way to train (XP): Best exp to level firemaking is maple logs. If you want to spend more money the best is yew+ [Yingyang06]
Best way to train (Money): Best way to train (Moneywise) Would be Kingdom or cutting your own logs. [Yingyang06]

Woodcutting:
Best way to train (XP): Cut logs. But seriously, if you want XP, cut Yews.
Best way to train (Money): Cut logs. But seriously, if you want Money, Magics will never get faster after level 75. So cut from 75-99. Use a Dragon Axe or Inferno Adze.
Do not use Inferno Adze if you do not want your valuable logs to burn up.

Farming:
Best way to train (XP): Buy your own seeds. You can still make money with this method.
Best way to train (Money): Kill Monsters or Pickpocket the Master Farmers for your seeds. Master Farmers do not give you herb or tree seeds.
***Farming takes time, and money. Nothing else.***

Summoning: You can only train summoning if you have the charms to do it with.
Best way to train (XP): Buy your secondary/tertiary items.
Best way to train (Money): Collect your secondary/tertiary items.

If you would like me to change any of these, if you have a better idea, go ahead and post and I'll look into it. I want WG to know how to train thier skills when they want to train them. We are a skilling clan, afterall.

~Ty

I don't know that much about skills but here are a few suggestions

Magic: For money, enchanting orbs are also good.
Hitpoints: Fastest way is probably chins, but pest control works too
Agility: If you're seriously desperate, the desert pyramid gives 1k per run if you talk to the guy
Slayer: There is no really a 'best' way of training that, other than to just choose the tasks that you do and burthy/cancel the rest

Granite is not the fastest for mining. Iron is faster, just more work because its less exp/ore.

For fishing, do monkfish if you can. They are p2p only. They are faster than sharks, so overall, you get more exp in the same amount of time. Quest required: Swan Song

Best way to train (Money): Fishing's biggest moneymaker is Sharks.
