Please be aware that by applying for council you will be expected to devote a large amount of your time to help WG improve and diversify, so if you are not willing to dedicate a significant amount of time towards WG then please do not apply. Once again, do not take applying for this role lightly. If the above has not put you off, please fill out the forum below as long as you meet the criteria of: -Minimum of Elite Guardian. -More than 4 months since you applied to join WG. -Must have attended one or both of the last two major wars

Yes :) 2) What makes you think you can last a long term in the council? I believe I could last a long time as Council because I have the ability to recieve feedback and work WITH people to achieve both their and my goals. I believe that my natural leadership capabilitys make me able to take on the huge task which is the Wilderness Guardians Council position. Due to my age, I am of course limited slightly by time due to school. I get home at 5pm GMT each school day. Obviously though, you all know me, i'm very active, and come to plenty of events, so yeah I'm always about. 3) Is there anything coming up in the next 6 months that could make you highly inactive? There's nothing in my future that will make me HIGHLY inactive. Truthfully though, there will be a week or two in January 09 where I will be taking my GCSE mock exams, and so will be under stress (and as a result, may be inactive for a little while. This probably applies to a lot of the clan also - Good luck guys :D) 4) Why are you applying for council? I'm applying for the Council because I do genuinely feel that I will be able to do an excellent job. I have the experience, and the necessary skills in order to perform well at this role. Ever since I have joined WG, i've always been passionate about warring, and helping us as a group to improve our warring. Heck, To prove that, I even remember a sugestion topic I made after my first war with you guys about specifics needed to be worked on. I genuinely feel that if given this opportunity, I would be able to do a sterling job. Warring is of course, not the only aspect i'd have to focus on as the Warlord Council. I'd need to be attentive, level-headed, and detatch myself in situations where my unbias opinion is required. I know I am able to do this. I never lose my temper, (though I never respect people if they lose their temper and take it out with me). 5) What does WG need most and what will you do as a council member? If elected, I intend on doing my best to improve/do the following things (For clarity, I have colour coded these points): The Drama Repair Short-Prep Wars Recruitment ~ The Drama ... Let's face it. There's far far too much of it going about at the moment. Tensions are high Post-SA War, future plans kicking in to speartackle inactivity, a few key people leaving etc. There are side-effects to these sort of announcements. People decide to re-take-up arms of Skillers vs Warring, how the 'community will fail if I don't get 99 farming tonight, despite the war' etc. This really does need to stop, for the good of the clan, and If I gain the position of Warlord, I hope to be able to work with the current council on stopping these unnecessary problems from arising. ~ Repair - As seen from the many recent Important Announcement topics, WG is going through a tough-ish time at the moment, and there is no better way of putting the problem into simple terms better than Elias' post here. I believe that I could play an active role in helping repair the warring sector, as well as going on to assist the other council in helping improve the skilling community and the community itself. After all, As you can see from my stats, I both skill and war. ~ Short-Prep Wars - When I first joined WG, we had tonnes of short prep, non compulsory, matched options wars. Unfortunately since the CWPL, we've been severely lacking in short prep matched wars. As a result, even if I don't achieve the warlord position, I hope to be organising more short prep wars for those who like spur of the moment events. These will of course not be limited to CWA, nor a certain subscription option (F2P or P2P). ~ Recruitment - My role as a warlord wouldn't simply involve everything to do with wars. It would be ignorant for me to simply sit back and help the people who come seeking help. I intend (and have started) actively recruiting people who I think would be excellent for WG. As it stands, we have all of the perfect methods for educating members on how to war etc, however we do not have as many people in need of fresh learning. This is because last month, in my opinion our recruitment began to slump. So far this month, recruitment has been a huge thing amongst the leadership and tertiaries, and I do intend on spearheading the operating of active recruitment over places such as RSC. I would have said a few things about my views on the Emeritus rank, Like i did in my Council application in the other elections. Obviously though, Elias has posted an IA about his plans for Emeritus, and they are similar to what I would have done. :D Obviously, understandably, I'm not really going into as much detail at this time, but giving you all an overview of what I intend on doing as Council. 6) What puts you above other people applying for council? What puts me above the other people applying for council? Well... I don't know who's applied yet :P (I might edit something in if I truely am a better choice :o). That aside, To be quite honest, I believe that all current Raid Leaders would be able to do a sterling job at carrying out the warlord roles. It's possible, I suppose, that my previous experience with leadership might give me a boost, but to be quite honest, If I were a member, I'd be truely comfortable with whichever raid leader get's appointed (That, assuming that it is a Raid Leader that get's the position :o). If I had to say something, I would mention my natural capabilities I have had all my life to lead. My natural Charisma, and ability to make people understand clearly has always benefited me during my life, and I intend on helping it benefit you all also. 7) What is your greatest weakness in terms of being a leader? If I have any weaknesses at all as far as leadership is concerned, it’s when I see people blatantly disrespecting eachother, or bullying, especially when it’s more than one person teaming up on another. I will often get pretty angry at this, and take possibly (in some people’s eyes) harsh action. Fortunately, I have never seen anything of the like in WG (at least over IRC (NEVER ever booted someone from #wg :D My li'l record :) )). 8) Is there anything else you would like to say? I’d just like to say that if anyone has any questions at all about any of my plans in the future, or ways in which I hope to improve WG, please do PM me on IRC or over the site. I really will do my best to answer your questions as best as I can :). I'd also like to wish everyone applying for the position the very best of luck. I read through it and you have some good stuff in there, it's just...you're applying to be our main leader in wars. I need to know in detail what you're going to do to solve the drama, how you'll manage the short-prep wars without making the clan feel like we're having to many fights and how you plan to help repair the clan. You've got about a paragraph for each. That's like a mediocre post in the Suggestions forum, and this is for your application to be one of our leaders. As it is now, it's a good start. I'm sure you'll get votes based on that regardless, but I hate to say this - It needs a lot of work. -------------------- | ||||
